Before we know it
Life has come to an end
The time to spend with others
Comes to a screeching halt
No more birthdays or anniversaries to celebrate
No more expressions of joy or hate on their faces
Their time on Earth is gone
Life is a forever ticking clock
Batteries are put in at birth
And die as we do
At some points
It seems as though time has stood still
But in reality
The clock keeps ticking
There are moments we wish would last for a lifetime
We wish some moments would never end
Time is precious
And half the time we forget that
When the end comes
We wish for a "do-over"
A second chance
To relive a moment
To change something we regret
But clocks don't tick backwards
Time moves forward
We move forward
