The elf sat in the shadows watching the souls enter the gates of heaven. He sat patiently waiting for the right moment to strike. The God of the Underworld had given him a great gift, the gift of immortality, but it did not come for free. Now Lucian was sent to slip into heaven as a spy and steal the essence from enough souls to fuel his master's ever growing power.
Lucian spent all day and into the late evening working out his complex plan. Darkness was approaching the gates and the guardians were beginning to close them up. Suddenly he saw his chance and plugged into the endless river of souls. Being but a mere shadow he slipped through the gates of heaven, yet he was smothered in complete pure light and his darkness was detected. Hermes came forth and with wordless commands he chained Lucian up. Bound forever by chains of love and hope Lucian was a slave to the light.
Smiling, Hermes came forth sung his taunting phrase: "Don't you know Night never comes in heaven..."
hehe this is the story i wrote to go along with one of my friends avis when he entered it and only took me about 10 min to write xd
