I just started a job that is boring a lot of the time, but sometimes is really cool. I'm working at the Social Sciences Research Institute, and basically they do telephone surveys. Now, the area I'm surveying has a lot of old people living there, and if you just listen, they have have interesting things to talk about.
I have so far met a rancher, a former PI, a business manager who liked to give me mini-lectures on the secret to success, and a woman who lived through the depression and was the first female carrier for a big city newspaper. She made 2 cents a day doing it when she started. xd
I actually like giving surveys to people like them. Others aren't much fun; they have an attitude of "you have a survey, and I'm going to answer the questions, and not say anything else rawr." confused
