Slave chants became folk music.
Folk music eventually split down the middle:
-----Folk music for many voices became classical music.
-----Folk music with syncopated rhythms became country music.
Classical music has remained more or less the same since its appearance.
Country music in double time (though sometimes half time) and played on electric instruments is rock music.
All music is the same. The only difference is quality.
