Of Dragon going Poof, and Of Escaping
Rose; Dragon Going Poof

Rose heard ANTIE-D say they would be in Gaia's orbit in about 5 minutes, and then almost everyone in the room fainted. Everyone, really, except her. Taran didn't count, he was still unconscious. His wound was sealed up, and she was working on getting him a saline drip set up, when everyone fainted.

They weren't out but for a few seconds, but it was enough to worry Rose. However, Holly explained. Or, it seemed that Holly explained something that only Dragon understood. A moment later, Dragon vanished. Completely.

Looking at everyone else, Rose tried to get more of an understanding of what she missed.

"Who is Myuu? And isn't... isn't Wynn dead?" Rose asked. After all, she had noticed the non-breathing form of Wynn not far away a bit ago. But to hear them say Myuu was trying to control her was just confusing.

Se'rox; Escaping

Being a mostly resilient nobody as she was, Se'rox was able to endure the painful tests that the would be nobody curers were running her through. If she hadn't figured out that she had become nothing more than a lab rat to them by now, she might have let them continue. It seemed like they might eventually come up with some way to give her a heart, despite the odd circumstances of her creation. But, she wasn't feeling gracious, and decided they could find themselves a new lab rat. Or, preferably, not.

It had been four days since she had started to carve on the inside of her wooden box. She had all the information she thought she'd need to escape, now. And the best part, was that by not resisting at all, they hadn't given her an injection in over a whole day, now, and she thought she had a chance.

Using the moisture in the air, and pulling it into the wood (which ended up being a lot like the way she pulled moisture into earth), Se'rox was able to make the boards at the back of her box warp. Once they were, noting she could hear the rythmic breathing of her guard sleeping soundly, she pulled the warped boards out of the nails, and into the box with her. Then, once she'd done this with about four boards, she slipped out the back of the box.

Once on solid ground again, Se'rox saw that she was alone on this floor. She walked past the guard silently, and out of the room. There were no doors on this level... but considering it was the eighth floor, she guessed no one really needed to room this high up usually.

All her testing, she had figured out, was done on the fourth floor or higher. It wasn't too hard to figure out. Guards were lazy. Didn't like having to walk up three flights to get to the testing area, and another four to go get her.

She made her way down, and at the fifth floor, she could see people on the floor below her. So she meandered a bit. Everyone, aware of her ability to use earth, had kept the floors very clean in the areas she had to travel. But further back, in the south end of the fortress, they had not.

In short order, Se'rox was enjoying her trip down the side of the castle. She had never tried it before, but mud shoes really did stick well to stone. When she neared the bottom, she could tell the area they were in was marshy. There was some kind of moat around the fortress... but it was a muddy moat.

Se'rox just grinned.

A few hours later, Se'rox finally left the fortress behind, though now, it looked like a huge mud-castle. And it was. Not even hollow. Solid mud, except for the basic stone structure, and over 100 would-be nobody hunters and scientists. The nobody hunters had it coming for certain. And as far as the scientists... well, any scientist who did not value life first and foremost, and could treat a human (even a nobody) like an animal... well, they were worse than the hunters, in Se'rox's opinion.

So Se'rox left, and walked along the only road away from the fortress. Se'rox only wished she knew where she was headed; she didn't know, and she was not yet able to summon a portal. She shrugged it off, for the moment. She was sure it was the doing of the drugs, and that they'd wear off eventually. So, she walked along the nice dirt path, hopefully heading towards Zuchax III, and home.

Ya know, I like the fact that Rosey can ask questions that I had and not get hurt for it.

Damn. Se'rox gets more amazing every time I read about her.

Yes... Rose is perceived as innocent enough, I suppose, that people still tend to accept her sometimes inappropriate questions without much comment.

And as far as Se'rox...
Rose
Well, I'd say that if I knew this in character, I would want to have a very long talk with her. From a safe distance- just in case.
