You may have noticed, but stormoftara always wears an eyepatch. But it was wasn't always like this. There was a time when stormoftara had two fully functioning eyes. This is the tale of the girl and her eye patch.
Once upon a time, in the land of Gaia, there was a girl named Tara Storm. She had a normal life, running a little store and drawing art for others on the side. She was perfectly happy letting her life stay like this forever. But if there is one thing that is constant about life, it is that it is always changing.
The girl met a boy. Not just a normal boy though, a boy that looked at Tara Storm differently from the rest. He made Tara Storm feel special, and happy. The two became fast friends, and eventually even lovers. Tara Storm said the words she had never said to another human being..."I love you"
While love can be a wonderful thing, unfortunately it can also be a painful thing. The girl didn't want the happy times to ever end...but eventually they did. The boy started to be more distant. To not tell her things. While he wasn't lying, he wasn't being truthful either. He didn't get a job and Tara Storm felt like she was doing so much, but getting nothing in return. There is only so long a girl can live like this and still be happy. In the end the girl decided it was for the best to end it before she got even more hurt.
Although the boy didn't seem to care at the death of their relationship, the girl was crushed. She began to cry, a river of tears that didn't seem to cease. When she opened her eyes she would see the image of the boy, no matter where she was looking. In fact, the image seemed to be burned into one of her eyes. The girl couldn't take it anymore. She put an eye patch over her eye, swearing to never remove it again. She couldn't remove it. She didn't think she could handle the pain of seeing the boy again.
So now the girl goes out to face the world, seeing with her one clear eye. While she will remain forever torn over the loss of the boy she loved, as long as the eye that only saw him remained covered, the girl could go on living. And never again, would she let another love blind her.
The End
