Of Some Things Understood (Others Not) and Of UnWelcome
Rose; Some things understood, others not

While tending to Dragon, she caught what the man- who Shalimar referred to as Wolfie- said. While the whole Riverworld thing made no sense to Rose, and she had to ignore the things Nogard was saying (though she found herself somewhat happy Nogard was still encased in ice), Rose did catch on to the Larkin thing.

"Shalimar had her baby already, and she's fully grown?" Rose mumbled. Dragons were beginning to cease to amaze her anymore. "All right. Anything else I should be aware of?" Rose asked, though she doubted she was going to get a response. She also figured that if this guy was Larkin's Dad, he might need a moment. The whole family might.

Rose finished Healing Dragon, though again, she wondered at how much good it would do. It was a lot like with Taran; a loss of blood, though not as much - as far as she could tell- and a need for the person to find their own inner strength. As if that had ever been a problem for Dragon! Still, she seemed completely well again.

Rose was watching everyone at once, or trying to. So she noticed when Taran stirred a few moments later. Rose stood, looking down at Dragon, who was still unconscious. She shook her head, and went back over to Taran.

Taran

He started to open his eyes, but refrained from moving much as memory flooded back to him slowly, as did sounds and feeling. However, he did not feel the intense pain that he supposed he should. It took him a moment to remember what had just happened. He started to try to sit up, and Rose practically appeared by his side in an instant.

"Careful." she said, and helped him sit up. She had to support most of his weight. He wasn't sure why it was, but she looked relieved to see him mostly all right.

"Did... is?" Taran asked, not quite sure how to ask anything yet. His mind felt numb, and he winced suddenly. Not from pain, no. He was sore, achingly so, and thirsty. But it was a thought that caused him to wince. Rose looked at him oddly, like she was trying to figure out what had just hurt him. Even with a fuzzy mind, he wasn't about to tell her that he was worried the Dragon he served may have felt how close he had just been to death, and might just feel the need to check on him.

Rose just looked at him with one eyebrow arched. "Everything is... calm, for now. Xink is okay, and so is Dragon, I think. And we are back in Gaian orbit." Rose said, hoping she covered all the things he was wondering about.

Taran smiled weakly. "Good." was all he could muster up to say, though there was no real conviction behind it.

ANTIE-D

Not certain what orders were once they reached Gaia, ANTIE-D conferred with Nerissa, and decided that Dragon would want the ship landed as soon as possible, at Dragon's house.

So, they began to go through the atmosphere, and were soon only a few minutes from Dragon's house.

Se'rox; UnWelcome

As Kaku flipped through the air and landed behind her (but somehow a few feet behind the huge tree she was standing by) Se'rox couldn't help but react by summoning mud into her hands. But as he made some movements, she could feel the water being sucked out of the entire area, including the tree she was standing behind.

It was difficult, but she managed to hold onto those two precious handfuls of mud, still moist enough, though not as much as usual.

As the man called out, "That's enough charge. Now! Where are you?", Se'rox was almost certain that her assumption had been incorrect. This could not be Kaku- the one whose house Zuchzx III and Zuchax the second stayed at, and she had for some time, too. But he smelled like the house. He smelled like Kaku's things.

She shook her head. Too much time had been spent recently as a prisoner, and Se'rox was not willing to try to parley before acting. And besides, with the way he stood there, Se'rox was certain he hadn't seen her yet. She smiled. Sensing where there was still water in the area, only about ten feet in front of her, which was fifteen feet from him, she decided to go for it.

Launching one mudball off to the side to come at the man from a different angle, aiming at his head, and doing the same with the other, but adding a delay and sending it at a different angle, Se'rox took off at a sprint toward the not-dry area. If she could make it, or close enough, she could make herself mud armor, and really have the advantage. She hoped the mudball diversion would throw him off her whereabouts long enough.
