A slight shutter at the sound of a breaking heart.
A world not forgotten but slowly falling apart.
No one to hold onto and no one to reveal what is rising inside.
A feeling so intense it hurts to hide.

To much of a chance to take for closure.
To much of a risk to want something closer.
Intimate is a bad word in a situation such as this.
Take a dagger to the heart, just be sure to be swift.

No need to hold on to what can never be told.
No need to hold on something that will just grow old.
Love is a dirty word in this situation keep it within.
Slowly the light of this love shall grow dim.

So the pain that it inflicts is only temporary and will pass.
But regretting and questioning on it will forever last.
Leave the feelings at the door.
In a situation such as this there is no use for them anymore.
