I've been lost in a world of despair.
So lost that now no one seems to care.
In a way I did this to myself.
For always thinking that I could care for everyone else.

Not anymore though because I am broken beyond their repair.
So it no longer matters whose the one standing there.
My world has collapsed upon me.
And there's no way out of the chaos that I can see.

But as I turn to follow darkness over the edge someone grabs my hand.
Someone that through it all I know will understand.
So take me into your arms and make the world around me melt.
Place your lips to mine and make me feel like I've never felt.

Although my world is crashing down around us make it disappear.
Just hold me to your chest so you and I are the only ones here.
You fulfill me when I am able to hold you.
You guide me when I can't see my way through.

My world may crash, but my heart stays whole and unharmed in your hands.
My life may be dismal, but in the end I know you'll be there to fix what you can.
But you fixed what others trampled, you fixed my heart.
Mended it and now no one can rip it apart.

You hold me in your embrace to protect me from those I thought cared.
And now the world they helped me create and break means nothing especially since you're not there.
I'd rather be with my savior than my slayers any day.
Just to hear through three little words you never fail to say.
