I'm tired of pouring out my angst in a whiny torrent, so instead, I want to hear from you, dear Gaians:

What is the difference between failure and success? And not just the words--I mean the ideas behind them. A Winner vs. a Loser, in the global sense. Who defines it--you, those around you, some imperial outside "them"? And how does one avoid being a failure if one fails time and again?

Any stories of personal failure, and recovery, are welcome.
