He spent most of his hours on the Internet. The sweet, sweet Internet. During school he’d count the hours until he could go back home and get on the Internet. But, his obsession wasn’t the Internet, per say. No. He was obsessed with a website. A special website. One that made him feel wanted, like somebody he wasn’t. Now, in said website there was a forum, that forum’s name: “Rosso’s Place.” In “Rosso’s Place,” there were others just like him, that enjoyed the same feeling that it gave him. You see, this was a role-playing forum. Everyone had a special character. Either a hero, or a villain. He needed this forum. He gained pleasure in the feeling that it gave him. He was addicted to it, it was, his drug. Everyday, during the times he was apart from the computer, from his beloved “Rosso’s”, he would wish that he, and the friends that he had made there, over the Internet, were real. Absolutely, positively, real. He thought these thoughts as he walked through the halls at school, as he ate, as he breathed. He yearned to be special, he craved to have a purpose, he coveted his virtual self’s power. There is an old saying; however, that all of you might know: “Be careful what you wish for.” He wasn’t careful, he never thought of the repercussions, of the consequences of giving random people ‘super-powers.’ Unfortunately for many people, but luckily for him, the universe had been thinking of him, it tired of his pestering and badgering it for his wish to be granted, and so, seeing no other option, for it did not believe in smiting innocent people, his wish, was granted. He of course, not remembering that his character in the forum had no control over his power, not even bothering to think of those kinds of things, being blinded by power, caused his home to burn down in a massive fire, him included. His own wish, had been his end. But, just because the wisher is gone, does not mean that the wish is dead. Oh no. The wish lives on. Slowly, but surely, now that the universe has given it life. It makes its way to the others. The innocent people that, not knowing what one of their ‘friends‘ had unleashed on them. Reaching the mid-point between the others that were part of the forum, the wish split apart into several pieces. The shining fragments of cosmic energy flew towards the “Rossonians”, as they called themselves. The unsuspecting lovers of said forum would, in due time, become the very thing they themselves, even if they didn’t know it, wished to be.
Username: Ajax Fleetfoot
Ajax, real name: Roger, lived in good ol’ Illinois. The wish fragment that was destined for him was nowhere near him, yet. You see, the original wisher, he lived somewhere in Canada, way up north. Although there were others closer, Roger is the one that we begin with. Now. It was late at night, around 3:30 A.M. Roger was in a deep, deep sleep. He had fallen asleep doing homework that he had procrastinated on doing. When suddenly, his computer screen turned on, the Rosso’s forum flashing on. The sudden noise of the computer turning on wasn’t loud enough to wake him. As if on its own, the computer suddenly blurted out, at maximum volume, a loud heavy metal song. Startled, Roger fell out of his chair. He rushed to turn off the music, lest his parents wake up and punish him for it. Finally finding the volume switch, he flipped it. He sat back down at his desk. He looked up at the computer and saw Rosso’s Place. He smiled. I love this place, he thought. Now. Let us take a look at the reason that Roger cannot stop going back to Rosso’s. His reason, is love. Yes. You might think it silly, to find love over the Internet. But, then again, you probably don’t have someone to love, yourself. Love is everywhere, you just have to know where to look. He loved a certain girl, but this love, had an obstacle, a seemingly impossible one to overcome. That obstacle, Distance. He lived in Illinois and she in Florida. He knew that she loved him back, but Distance, its cruel length, kept them apart. Roger had gone back to sleep. A few hours later, it was time for school. After he got dressed and had his breakfast, he heeded the bus’ call, and rode it to school. Once there, he was forced into his daily schedule. That same monotonous schedule that he had to follow, over and over again. Little did he know, his days wouldn’t be so monotonous, again. Several hours passed. He was now in his last period class. The teacher had asked him for his homework, he didn’t have it. She gave him her usual pursed lipped stare. He gave her the usual shrug, she sat down, and life went on. But now, at this very moment, the wish had made its way to Illinois. The second it crossed into the state, it began to glow, the closer it got to Roger, the brighter it glowed. Meanwhile, back at his school, Roger adjusted his glasses while he stared blankly at the ceiling while the old decrepit woman that was his teacher muttered on and on about something that he was supposed to be learning. He thought of the one he loved ,then, he thought of what it would be like to be Ajax ,“IRL”; in real life. The wish, traveling fast, as it was behind schedule, was already making its way through the halls of the school. A random freshman saw it, a magical floating orb that was shining with the intensity of five suns, and dropped to the floor and began to roll around, shielding his eyes. The orb’s bright light could be seen through every nook and cranny, every crack, every hole. It hovered there, a faint humming sound echoed from it, it almost seemed that the orb itself was excited to see its new host. The sudden burst of light shining from under the classroom door caught Roger’s eye. He turned to look, but quickly looked away as its intensity grew stronger. Suddenly, the room itself was alight, surrounded in the purest white light imaginable. Roger’s fellow students were silent with shock. The light slowly grew smaller and smaller, thinner and thinner, until it formed the shape, of an arrow. This suddenly reminded Roger of the one that he loved so, in the forum, you see, her weapons of choice, where arrows. Making a sudden whooshing sound, the arrow shot towards Roger. He fell out of his chair, his tall, lanky body lay in an awkward position. The other students remained in silence. Until, out of nowhere, the classroom began to tremble, it felt like a small earthquake. The arrow, which had pierced Roger right through the stomach, began to burrow its way inside of him. Once in, the wish began to take effect. It merged with Roger’s very being, and quickly he began to change. His character in the forum, you see, was a beast, literally. Roger’s body began to sprout course brown hair, his finger nails grew and sharpened, transforming into claws. His teeth forming into fangs. A tail grew from behind. The whole transformation filled him with excruciating pain. But, once the transformation was complete, the pain left him. He lay still in the same awkward position as before. Except he was no longer unconscious. He had become: Ajax. He dusted himself off. Looking up at all his classmates, he realized that they were all staring at him with disgust. This angered him. His eyes reflected the anger that he felt towards them, towards all those that hated him. When he grinned, his sharp fangs shone in the dim light that was coming off from the light bulbs. Taking a deep breath, Ajax attacked. The screams of all that were in that room could be heard for miles. The blood and organs that had spewed forth from the victims decorated the walls in an almost tasteful fashion. The rats that inhabited the school scurried through the hallways and rushed into the class, it was as if they were being called forth by some strange force. They were. When the massacre had ended, Ajax, covered in blood and who knows what else, ran out of the school. He ran so far and fast, he didn’t even know if he was still in the same state. He wasn’t named, ‘Fleetfoot’ for nothing. You see. Ajax was a villain. He had the power of any animal on Earth. He could also control the creatures at will. Ajax found himself at a random park. He had been running for hours, so the cover of night shielded him from view. Finally stopping, he fell to the ground. He looked at where his hands used to be, they had been transformed into claws, his feet into paws, and his mouth, a toothy death trap for all those that dare go near it. He had become what he had wanted to for a while, finally, his life would be different. Then he began to wonder, was he the only one?
Username: Calo Pronunciation: [Kay-Low]
Now that one of the “Rossonians” had been made real, the traveling wish fragments began to travel faster, their anxiety to meet their future hosts growing with every metaphorical step they took. Now. Our next Rossonian lived in a state called: Utah. His name is Caleb. Now Caleb, is somewhat of a special case. You see, he’s a bit of a ladies man. At the very moment he was at a party, ‘grinding up’ on some girls. His shoulder-length black hair was dripping with sweat. Now. Before we get on to Caleb’s transformation, we must know what it is that makes him go to “Rosso’s” everyday. He loves it. It gives him something to do, people to communicate with, in a sense. It provides imaginary epic RP battles, it kills the boredom he feels. It also quenches a thirst for attention that plagues him once in a while. The wish fragment destined for Caleb was now making its way up the driveway of the house the party was being held at. The windows of the house amplified the light’s power. Everyone began to scream and flail about. Caleb; however, just stood there and stared. He was frozen in place, unable to run, to move. The orb of cosmic energy phased through the walls of the house, it passed through many people, the second it did so, the person fainted. Caleb stood there shocked and in awe, he didn’t really know what to do nor what was going on. Was it aliens? He thought. And then, the beam of light stood in front of Caleb, it floated there, menacingly. “Umm. Hello?” Caleb said to it. Upon hearing his voice, the orb shot into Caleb’s head. His scream of intense pain rattled the very foundation the house stood on, it felts as if the roof itself would cave in. But, the pain that Caleb was feeling, words could do it no justice. With a sudden burst of energy escaping through Caleb’s body, his clothes exploded outwards, leaving him completely naked, except for a fig leaf that had formed around his lower parts. A pair of long black horns sprouted from his head. Then, the pain stopped. Caleb stood there, he looked at himself, he still looked the same, his skin was still somewhat tan, he had all his limbs, he was naked sure, but, everything else the same. He went to scratch his head in confusion, when, he felt his horns. His eyes opened wide in amazement. What the hell is going on here?! What just happened?! this and many other thoughts flooded his mind. Only, those thoughts weren’t his own. Waves of confusion, anger, fear, flooded into Caleb’s mind. He yelled in pain as he had yet to get used to his sudden abilities. You see. In the forum, Caleb was a psychic, an incredibly powerful one. With the thoughts of those around him giving him a splitting headache, Caleb unknowingly unleashed a mass wave of telekinetic power. The surrounding walls shattered, people were sent flying backwards, a few impaled on protruding support beams. The fear of what had happened to him suddenly left Caleb. He now knew what he had become, he was now: Calo. A grin formed on his face. He had arrived. The power that flowed through him made him feel like a god among those mere mortals. Taking advantage of the situation, Calo used his immense telekinetic abilities to lift the house off its foundation, its inhabitants still inside. He lifted it well over his head, and when it was high enough, he threw it. And so, the house flew, and flew. Its distance greater and greater. The people inside it long since dead, either because they were thrown out of the house while it was in mid-air or the air pressure was too much for them to handle. It flew, gaining more and more momentum, the laws of physics no longer applying to it. Over a few states, until it landed, right in… Indiana. The house threw up a large cloud of dirt and dust up into the air, making the night darker. All was quiet in the surrounding area, all except, for a faint crackling sound. Anyone standing in the area would have seen the outline of a man through the dust. Closer and closer the man walked, the crackling sound increasing the closer he stepped. Now. The strange man stood in front of the destroyed house, he wore a grin on his face. The man knew exactly who could have done this, there was only one person with the power. Suddenly, as if from nowhere a large bolt of lightning crashed into the house, burning it to ash. Anyone that might have survived inside, gone. The man, now content, with the knowledge that he was no longer alone, walked towards the nearby street. There, he spotted a phone line. Swiftly, he placed his hand against a small circuit box attached to it. Then, in a flash of electrical energy, the man was gone, the phone cables shone with the intense electricity that flowed through them. Username: Seiune the Red
Now, traveling almost at the speed of sound, one of the wish fragments had made its way south; towards Georgia. In Georgia lived a guy, I’d say about 17, maybe older. His name, was Frank. Now Frank lay in bed looking up at the ceiling. He was completely and absolutely bored. Normally, during instances like that, he would be on his computer, at Rosso’s Place. But, due to strange electrical phenomena, which had been reported throughout the States, he had no access to his computer. So. Frank lay in bed, having absolutely no knowledge of what was to come. At that very moment, the wish fragment was making its way up the street, towards Frank’s house. Slowly, it floated closer and closer towards the house, its usual bright white that it shone was slowly turning… red. The now red orb, gave the dark street a sinister look to it. Finally, tiring of lying in bed, Frank stood up, he took a moment to flip his long, luscious, luxurious, sultry, and sensual locks off of his face. His hair was so magnificent, it was the envy of everyone that he met; but, that’s a different story. Frank made his way through his living room, almost tripping over a random object, it was too dark for him to see what it was. Having nothing better to do, Frank decided to take a brief walk around his block. Stepping outside, he locked the door behind him and walked down his driveway, towards the sidewalk. He walked for a short distance, when he began to notice that, everything looked, well, red. His Rosso’s Place character suddenly flashed into his mind, he smiled for a moment, then continued walking. Turning the corner, the redness of his surroundings intensified. At came to a point that Frank couldn’t even see anything but red. That is when, he noticed a strange luminescent orb, just floating there in the middle of the road. Frank stopped, dead in his tracks. What the hell? he thought. He wanted to move on, to ignore the whole thing, to just pretend he was hallucinating; but, that was… impossible. The orb, you see, had turned that specific color to draw Frank in, to attract him. Frank couldn’t help himself, at a snail’s pace, he made his way towards the floating orb. Closer and closer he got, the color of it mesmerized him. Finally, now that he was only feet away, he felt the sudden urge to touch the orb, his arm flung upwards almost automatically. The second his skin felt the sphere’s warmth, the orb began to flow into Frank. He felt a sudden rush of heat, it made his blood boil, his pores spew what felt like buckets, of sweat. His clothes slowly started to turn different shades of red, his once brown hair fell out completely, and in its place grew red spiky locks. A cape and mask magically appeared on him. Then, after the immense pain that was felt, and after Frank had come to realize what had happened, the transformation was complete. Seiune the Red was now complete. Still somewhat in shock and disbelief, Seiune’s powers suddenly kick started themselves. A giant beam of red energy shot out of his eyes, causing the car that it hit to explode which, in turn, set the surrounding area ablaze. Seiune was now in full control. Letting out a sudden maniacal laugh, a laugh that could have shaken someone to their very core, Seiune took flight. Using his logical reasoning skills, Red, has he was called at the Place, now theorized that he wasn’t the only one that had undergone a transformation. He decided; however, that the time to find others would be tomorrow, because, for the moment anyway, he would have a little fun. So, Red flew through the nearby town and using a combination of super strength and his ’Crimsonia Vision,’ which is the name he gives the lasers he shoots, and wreaked as much havoc as possible. He had never had as much fun in his entire life, the policemen that tried to stop him all met an, unfortunate, demise at his hands. Yet another villain had been born, and yet another town destroyed. No one in the world knew what was going on in the States. You see, due to mass electrical phenomena, which had been reported in some major cities, all the power in the States had been shut off, completely, with no way of turning it back on in sight. There was no way to generate the electricity needed to power anything. Dams, back-up generators, anything that might have been helpful, had been destroyed, beyond repair. The technicians stated that it was all just… a horrible coincidence, that there was no way that electrical energy all over the country could suddenly just, shut off. There was no machine known to man with such abilities. That’s just it, the reason for all of the problems, wasn’t a machine nor was it known. It was someone with a plan, an evil plan. But. Who? The seeds of chaos were being sewn. Meanwhile, on another continent completely, amidst the chaos that was undergoing the European governments, due to the complete disappearance of the U.S. from all forms of communication, another wish fragment was slowly making its way to yet another villain, a villain most foul. The way things were going, things were looking dim for man-kind, especially now, with the latest villain that was about to be created.
Meanwhile, back in Illinois, Ajax lay on the grass of the dark abandoned park he had found himself in. He could hear police sirens in the distance, they were looking for him, even though they didn’t know it was Ajax who had done it, they didn’t even know who had, due to lack of witnesses, it was him they were after, Ajax grinned. Looking up at the moon, he hoped that someone else, someone special, was looking at it with him. She was, she was.
She lay on her roof, staring up at the moon. She wondered if he was admiring it’s beauty also. He was, he was. For one brief moment, they were both together, united by a simple act. She sighed, a small tear crawling down her face. Wiping it off, she looked at it for a moment. Sighing again, she made her way down from the roof and towards her room. Tired, having had a long day, her head was teeming with thoughts of him. Suddenly… Her room began to glow. It was a glow so bright, it blinded her. Then, the pain came rushing through her body. It hurt her so. Tears rushing down her face, tears of pain, tears of sorrow. She was going to die before meeting him, but; she wasn’t dying, on the contrary; she was about to live.
Username: Creative Pain
Her transformation complete, she was now Creative Pain, or Pain, as her fellow Rossonians called her. She looked at herself in the mirror that was hanging on her bedroom wall, she looked exactly the same, nothing different. Long brown hair, brown eyes, girl. She did, however, have a bow and arrows conveniently strapped to her back. She caressed her new weapons, she felt powerful. She too was a villain. Suddenly falling, dramatically; she felt the carpet floor fibers intertwine through her fingers. This relaxed her so. Quickly standing up again, she felt a new energy rushing through her, then an image of him flashed through her mind. It was time, she thought. Thinking, planning about what she was to do, the sound of her mother snapped her out of it. “Alyssa!” Pain’s mother yelled, “Come down here this instant!” Pain scowled, then slammed her fists on the floor. She had just acquired unimaginable power and her mother was calling her, most likely to pester her with some meaningless chore. Making her way towards the living room, Pain had securely hidden her bow and arrows underneath her bed, she sighed heavily yet again. She was uncomfortable, she wanted to leave, to go, to just run away. “Alyssa!” Pain’s mother yelled even louder, you could hear the anger in her voice. Running down stairs, Pain faced her mother. “You called?” Pain replied, with a fidgety tone in her voice. “It’s about time you got here! Now…” Her mother began to babble on and on about chores and her day, Pain had long dozed off. “Mom…” Pain said suddenly, she wore a smile on her face, a particularly big smile. Pain’s mother, stared at her with a shocked look; she had been interrupted after all. “What?” her mother replied. Another tear rolled down Pain’s face, unlike the tear she had spilled over Ajax, this tear was not one of sorrow, but of a strange happiness. “I’m running away… Bye mom… I love you…” There was a pause, a cold chill flew through the room, Pain was already in her room, packing things. Her mother, was standing in the living room, frozen as stiff as a statue. Minutes later, bow and arrows safely hidden in her bag, Pain walked slowly, a small amount of fear was upsetting her stomach. “Just one minute young lady!” Pain’s mother had finally snapped out of the strange mental comma she was in, “You’re not serious?! Where the hell do you think you’re going?!” Her mother was furious! Vast amounts of spit was jettisoned from her mouth, her wrinkles seemed to appear suddenly, unwanted residents, symbols of her long years. Pain simply smiled at her mother, “Bye mom, say bye to dad for me…” With a deep breath, Pain started to open the door. Just then, agony when shooting through her scalp. Her mother, in a blinding rage of anger and fury had reached for her daughter’s hair and was pulling it so hard it was amazing that it was still attached to her head. “Mom! Let go! Let go!” Pain yelled, where had all this anger come from? “You won’t be leaving this house! Are you crazy?! What is the meaning of this?!” Pain didn’t have an answer, well, she did have one, but she wasn’t about to tell her mother that she was running away to be with someone she met over the Internet, and that that someone was practically half-way across the country. “I have my reasons! Now let me go!” Innocently, Pain placed her hands around her mother’s, in an attempt to stop her mother’s hold on her hair. Pain’s mother suddenly fell to the floor, her body writhing, she was yelling, shouting in pain. “Mom are you…” Realizing what had just happened, Pain smiled. “Bye mom! I love you!” At that moment, the lights in her house, in every house in the neighborhood, suddenly went out. Pain shrugged at the coincidence as she walked into the night. She was now headed to Illinois. With money in her pocket, weapons in her bag, and the cool night breeze on her back, she made her way towards a nearby airport. Once there, she’d use her life savings, money that she had spent her whole life to gather; hence ‘life savings’, and buy a ticket to Illinois. She was nervous, and tingling with anticipation, she could feel her heart beating in her chest. This was the most reckless thing she had ever done, in her life. She wondered what her mother was doing, she was probably still on the floor, in pain. You see, Pain’s ability was just that, pain. She was also a master archer, but that’s just a hobby. So, she waited for her flight, thoughts of him and what awaited her congested her mind. “Alyssa?” said a voice, a voice that, under normal circumstances, would have been so familiar to Pain, but at the moment, her mind, the way it was, wouldn’t give the face to match the voice . “Oh my God! What are you doing here?!” yelled the voice. Pain, having finally managed to snap out of her deep thinking, turned around. There stood someone she had completely forgotten, her best friend. “Oh. Hi Monica…” Pain said, she had an annoyed tone in her voice. She assumed that her mother had awoken from her ‘pain coma’ and phoned Monica, whom lived right by the airport, to try and stop Pain from fleeing the country, or something. But, just then, Pain’s theory was shattered. “Did it happen to you, too?” Monica asked, she was whispering, her voice barely audible. “Huh?” was Pain’s simple response. Monica sighed, “Did a giant ball of light float into your room, enter you, and then give you your Rosso powers?” It sounded absurd, if a random person were to have been listening they’d probably chock it up to drugs, most likely a Meth addiction. Just then, Pain stood up and hugged Monica, or now known as Golden Harmonics; Harmony for short. Pain was happy, delighted, ecstatic even! She wasn’t the only one, then that meant that he had changed also, and that the others would most likely be changing as well. “So… I assume you’re off to Illinois, huh?” she asked; being Pain’s best friend she obviously knew all about her. “Yeah… Wanna come?” Harmony just had to go, that’s what Pain thought anyway. They’d finally meet him, and have that union that they’d all talked about. “Of course I’m coming! You think I’d let you do this alone?” Harmony paused for a moment to rummage through her pockets, “The second your mom called me to tell me that you ran away, and with the thing going on with our powers, I put one and two together and realized you’d be going to Illinois!” Pulling out a giant wad of cash, which she had acquired after a little foraging through her parent’s personal belongings, she told Pain that she was going to buy a ticket and be back shortly. Sitting back down, with a thump, Pain stared up at the ceiling. She was really doing this, this was one of the things she had wanted the most in her life, and she was afraid, terrified. But, he was worth it, soon, she’d be locked in a sweet embrace with her love, they’d finally meet, the beauty and the beast. A couple of minutes later, Harmony returned, sitting down next to Pain. “So… What’d you do with the bow and arrows?” She asked slyly to liven the mood. Grinning, Pain simply said: “They’re in my bag, shrouded by my dad’s lead curtain thing that he keeps in the garage.” Taking in the moment they both laughed, they laughed the same laughs that they would always share when their lives were ‘normal.’ So, there they sat, two Rossonians, waiting to catch a flight to Illinois.
The wish fragments were decreasing in number as more and more of them reached their hosts. Meanwhile, things weren’t looking too well for the United States. There were only a handful of places that still had electrical power. The mastermind behind this mass blackout, his plan was reaching its apex.

THE UNITED STATES HAS DISAPPEARED!
Yes, it appears that the rumors are true. The United States of America has disappeared off the face of the Earth. Not literally, mind you, but communications wise. Our best military bases have not been able to acquire a signal or receive any feeds, even Internet connections are down over there. The Prime Minister speculates that it is just ‘a series of unfortunate coincidences’ and that it will all most likely be fixed by tomorrow. For everyone’s sake, let’s hope he is right.

MASS CADAVER THEFT
There have been reports of a large scale theft of cadavers. From graveyards, morgues, etc… Eyewitnesses claim that they saw the bodies “Get up and jus’ walk’ aweigh!” Says one, Roscoe Jenkins. It appears that all the bodies that used to be found at the ‘Gray Waters Cemetery’ have all disappeared. Who is responsible for this? And what is the purpose of their plan? Did the bodies really just walk away? Or is all this just some elaborate hoax or prank being performed by the neighborhood ragamuffins? Only time will tell. -- Ima Goodlady ----------------------------------------
In the U.K, the government was in total pandemonium! Calls were being sent out to other neighboring countries, even France! Helicopters and other forms of speedy air vehicles had already been shipped out to the U.S, to do recognizance, and, completely oblivious to the government, one of their fastest planes, had a stow away on board. Deep in the government plane’s hold there rested a rather sickly figure, wrapped in a raggedy black cloak, it filled the cargo hold with an incredibly foul odor. It smelled like that of a rotting corpse, one that had been decomposing for months. The figure took a deep breath with its almost non-existent withered lungs, a feminine toothy smile adorned its face. The plane continued on its course to the U.S., unaware of the danger it carried in its hold.
Somewhere back in Utah, Calo grew tired of destroying the lives of many of his once friends and neighbors. It was time to find others, he knew that he couldn’t be the only one, and if he wasn’t; he would kill them anyway. So, using his mastery of telekinesis, Calo flew towards the Rossonian nearest him, perhaps the cutest and kindest Rossonian of all, Lunasteus. Why he picked her, out of all the other ones? She was the nicest, the weakest, so he thought. He was doing it to spare her of the new world that was forming. He would save her from the evil that was engulfing the world. Username: Lunasteus
Arizona. This is where Sara resided. Sara, of course, was Lunasteus. She was resting in her living room, staring at the blank television screen when the orb enetered her home. To think, this innocent young woman, was about to become a part of those… villains. Although, she herself wasn’t a villain, no, she was a heroine, at least, she acted like one. Her screams where so loud that her neighbors called the authorities. Of course, who wouldn’t scream if a random giant orb of light floated into their house? Nobody, that’s who. Sara’s adrenaline helped her a lot, though. She had managed to perform a rather intricate flip over the counter, she didn’t even know herself how she had done it. Beads of sweat were dripping down her shaky, nervous forehead. She sat there, her knees to her face, scared and alone, her parents having gone some off somewhere; she didn’t remember where. She tried not breathe as best she could. Tears began to flow down her face, like a destructive salty flood. Her life replayed itself before her eyes, her nerves were shot, she was shaking intensely. She rocked herself back and forth hoping she was just dreaming and that she would wake up soon; she even pinched herself so hard she bled! But, alas, it was no dream, there was no awakening. The orb had already floated around the counter and was in front of her. “Why?” Sara managed to whisper through her tears and sobs, the orb simply hovered in the air. Then! As if to answer her question, the area surrounding the fragment and Sara went dark, completely pitch black. Her shaking suddenly stopped, her tears dried, her nerves relaxed… For floating right in front of her was none other than the moon. The massive celestial orb, completely full and beautiful. Amazed at the wondrous sight, Sara couldn’t help but reach out and grab it. So she did, that’s when the pain raged through her body, the awful indescribable pain, the side-effect of having a wish granted. Fortunately for her, it was gone in a few minutes, so was Sara. For now, standing in her place was none other than Lunasteus. She was a fair innocent maiden with blue hair and feline-like ears. Opening her eyes, which were still sore from the large orb’s light, Luna, as she was called, sighed. It was then that she realized she had a machete in one hand, her eyes sparkled. It was her machete! She swung it in the air, and was merry. It was also then that the roof was thrown off. “What the…” Luna blurted out. That was when she saw him, the figure of a half-naked man with horns protruding from his head, floating above her. She gulped. It was Calo, she knew this immediately of course. Hello Luna, it’s nice to see you… Calo was broadcasting his voice into Luna’s head using his telepathy. This surprised her for a moment, causing her to jump and lose her footing and fall. Calo’s sinister yet surprisingly high pitched maniacal laugh echoed through the remnants of the once Sara’s home. Luna was too frightened to think, she clenched her machete tight and yelled “How did you find me?!” By this time Calo had floated down through the massive crater that was once Luna’s safe roof. Calo simply grinned and said “I’m a telepath, Luna, I can find anyone…” He tilted his head to the side, his grin evolving into an insane looking smile. Luna was frozen in place, her cat ears were twitching insanely. “Sorry to do this to you Luna, but,” he paused for a moment, searching for the right words, “This is for the best… You would never survive in the new world, might as well end it now…” New world? Luna thought. What the hell’s he talking about?! She gasped at that moment. She had forgotten that Calo was a telepath, he could hear every thought of hers perfectly. “Oh Luna, Luna, Luna…” He rolled his eyes. There was a moment of silence, nothing could be heard, except for Luna’s breathing; she was on the verge of hyperventilating. “Well… This was fun!” Calo phrased to break the silence. With that having been said, Calo swatted the air, and Luna was sent flying, slamming against a wall. In an incredibly corny move, he said “Have a nice trip… See you next fall!” he laughed, hard. She yelled, the pain was excruciating, almost worst than that of the fragment. Recoiling in pain, she wasn’t sure how she was still alive, it must’ve been her new form, it must have been that she was more durable. It was all over, she would die, only having truly lived for five minutes. There was a sudden warm sensation on her cheek; what was Calo doing to her? She thought. That was when she saw the light, the most beautiful light seeping through her eyelids. Was this the light that she was supposed to go towards? She began to, with unknown strength, reach for that bright gateway that would free her of the pain. Tears began to rain from her eyes, the light, it felt so… warm. “Shh…” said a voice. Luna blinked, she couldn’t find the words. “It’s okay Luna… Mama’s here…” She was frozen, but this time, not from fear, but from joy. “M-M-Mama?”
Username: Sailor G
G. Just G. That’s what they called her. She was a slender woman; blonde and attractive, as most Rossonians were, attractive, not blonde. She was kneeling down, her back to the crazed psychic madman, in front of the poor Luna. She was a child in G’s eyes. “Yes… It’s me…” A small, crystalline tear trickled from G’s cheek and onto Luna’s forehead. She managed to open her eyes, only to have her vision blurred again by all the tears of happiness. You see, with the transformations came the character’s personalities and relationships. G was Luna’s mother, and their bond was an unbreakable one. G gave Luna a kiss on the forehead, “Hush now Luna… Mama’s gotta deal with the bully…” she said, a motherly and kind note in her voice. She patted Luna’s head and turned to the man, to Calo. “How dare you?” G said. It was amazing, her voice, although low and calm, gave off an aura of strength and power. Calo blinked. From his facial expression, you could tell he was somewhat offended by the question. “How dare I?” He laughed. “What do you mean ‘How dare I?!’” G stood there, her fragile, slender frame wasn’t enough to conceal Luna, this bothered G, Calo knew this. “It’s all pretty obvious, G! Because I can! Oh god yes!” Calo’s laugh was all that could be heard for a good minute or two. G’s expression stayed serious, the epitome of poker faces. But, serious faces were but a mere ant hill for a telepath, so she kept her mind clear as well. Calo wiped a few comical tears from his eyes, “But seriously, though…” He shot a glance down to Luna, G shifted to block his sight. Calo grinned at this. “You’re a strong one, G. I respect that…” he was patronizing her, hoping she’d drop her guard. “But Luna… Ha! She’d never make it out there, in the new world…” His stare went blank, his mind off to parts unknown. G was sickened by his thinking. Calo knew this, he laughed. “Stand up Luna, we’re leaving…” G said calmly. Luna, still in pain after having been slammed against a wall, was barely able to stand. But, her mother’s presence filled her with courage, she stood. Luna took G’s hand, an automatic reaction. Calo tilted his head to the side, “And where do you think you’re going?” It’s funny, he thought, they actually think they can leave… G turned to look at Calo. No more Mrs. Nice Lady. Calo thought he’d surprise G by lifting her and bringing her towards him, so he did. “Mama!” Luna yelled as she saw G suddenly gasp as she began to float towards Calo. “Stay back, Luna!” she warned. This whole time Calo was laughing maniacally. “Oh G, you’re just as innocent and pure as Luna, since the new world’s gonna be dark and all that, you two’d never make it, ever!” And so began Calo’s monologue. “Can’t you see that I’m doing you two a favor? I’m being nice to you! Sparing you from it all!” He blathered on and on about the new world order, which Luna still had no idea what that meant, strange visitors, the apocalypse, blah, blah, blah… G was grinning the whole time. A villain’s true weakness: the monologue. Slowly, she moved her hand towards the hilt of her weapon, her trusty katana. This was no ordinary weapon, however. This weapon had the power to purify anything with its pure light. It was then, before Luna could even blink, G jabbed her katana smack dab in the middle of Calo’s forehead. He had gotten so distracted with his monotonous speech that he hadn’t taken the time to secure her arms tightly with his mind. Calo spat out blood and fell to the floor. “Sorry Calo… I know how much you hate him, but, the good guys could really use him right now…” Luna wondered what she was talking about. Him? It was all so confusing. G pulled out her katana, which was drenched in blood, from Calo’s head. In an instant, the blade shone with a supernatural light and was instantly clean. The wound in Calo’s head had closed, it no longer bled, Calo lay unconscious in a pool of his own bodily fluids. G sighed, she hated the violence, she was a lover, not a fighter, but when the moment called for it… action had to be taken. Turning to Luna, a smile on her face, G held out her hand to be held. Luna instantly grabbed hold of it. “Umm…Mama…” she whispered. “I-Is he dead?” She made a head motion towards Calo. G looked at him, then looked back at Luna. “No… He’s not, hun…” She smiled a moment. “There was just another life inside him that was calling out to me to let it live…” Boy, if Luna wasn’t lost before, now she was completely and utterly confused. G giggled at Luna’s confused expression. “I’ll explain on the way.” She tenderly rubbed Luna’s cat ears and began to walk out the door. “Oh.” She had forgotten that Luna couldn’t walk. With one swift motion, she picked up Luna. “Wow you’re heavy!” G expressed. They both laughed standing over Calo’s unconscious body. “Here, this should help…” Slowly, Luna’s human form began to shrink, and change. Bones bent, appendages shrunk, her face extended. She had become a kitten. “Aww!” G blurted out. She petted the small Luna, now a kitten. G made her way towards the door, glancing back one last time at Calo. Shaking her head, and Luna in hand, they were gone through the door, never to return.
Hours passed. Police sirens could be heard in the distance. They were headed towards Luna’s home. Calo’s body was still there, unconscious. The sounds of justice, the sirens, bounced off the walls in the horribly destroyed place. It was then that, the blood that had been expelled from Calo’s head, bubbled. It began to bubble intensely, it was as if someone had put it in a pot to boil! Suddenly, it began to rise, to grow taller. The front door suddenly slammed open, the puddle of blood splashed back onto the floor. “Anybody in here?!” yelled a rather overweight policeman, obesity is a major problem troubling American society today, you know… Anywho, the pool of blood began to drip through the cracks that had formed in the floor, it dripped under the house, into the basement. There, in the basement, it found a small drain that had been placed there in case of a spill of some kind. The blob made its way down the drain and into the sewers, it was time for it to rest and reform. Calo, on the other hand, was placed in the ambulance that had followed the policemen. “It must’ve been some wild party!” the medics in the ambulance jokingly shouted. They said this because of Calo’s attire, the fig leaf and the ‘fake’ horns he had on his head. So, on his way to a hospital, Calo slept in a coma, to awaken later.
“Flight B-7 leaving for Illinois at Gate 10...” That was what was heard over the intercom at the airport. Pain was practically having an aneurysm. “Oh ree-lax, Alyss-” Harmony stopped suddenly, “-Err... Pain… It’s gonna be okay!” Taking Pain’s hand, Harmony led her towards the gate. “It’s not like you’re going alone, I’m going with you!” She kept reassuring her, over and over again. “B-B-But what if he’s not there! What if he’s coming here!” These thoughts and more paraded through her mind. “Just chillax, Pain!” In the rush of it all, Harmony swiftly slapped Pain in the face. They were both silent. “Thanks for that…” Harmony nodded. And so they boarded the plane… 1,118 miles to go.
Meanwhile, over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, an English jet plane was making its way to the U.S. “I tell you, Bill…” The pilot said to his co-pilot. “We live in a strange world…” His co-pilot, Bill, laughed. “I tell you, knowing these Yanks, this is all some elaborate practical joke!” They both laughed their smug European laughs. “How about some tea and crumpets, then?” Bill asked the pilot. He nodded in agreement. Bill made his way out of the cockpit and into the kitchen area. The plane was empty, just Bill and the pilot, alone. He rummaged through the metallic cupboards for some tea bags and left over crumpets. “Damn it… By the queen’s crown, where is that tea?!” Suddenly, Bill remembered that there was an extra supply of tea in the hold; they were supposed to give it to the Americans, but he laughed at the notion of Americans drinking tea. Taking the few steps towards the back of the plane, Bill entered the dark storage area. It was surprisingly cold. He pulled out a small flashlight that he kept in his pocket. Sweeping it back and forth over box after box. “No, no, no…” He was surprised at how many boxes there were, it was… Strange. He didn’t remember the storage loaders telling them that they’d have this much cargo. There had to have been more than two hundred boxes in there! They were, rather large, air-tight boxes, specifically made for carrying food and other perishables. This was awkward. Bill unhooked the walkie-talkie that he wore on his belt. “Umm… John… Over.” He waited for a response. “John? Over.” No reply, just static. “John, do you read me? Over.” “Damn walkie-talkies…” Bill muttered under his breath. Walking out of the storage room, he moseyed his way through the small aisle and into the cockpit. “Hey John, I was calling you on the walkie-talk…” The sight was gruesome, indescribable. John sat there, well, more like oozed there, his throat had been completely cut open. His blood and throat were spewing forth onto the floor and windshield, the whole cockpit was drenched in his blood, his life giving blood. Bill stood there, all the 'colour' had left his face. He couldn’t help it, his stomach was weak, it felt like he was throwing up all the meals he had ever eaten. It was too much for a simple co-pilot to handle. He was so overwhelmed by the entire situation to realize that there was nobody flying the plane and that with every inch it moved, it was losing altitude. He let out a silent yell, he was still so shocked and appalled, he didn’t even have the strength to breathe. Bill burst through the cockpit door, and out onto the aisle. He was hyperventilating now, the air forcing itself into his lungs. “Oh my God… Oh my God…” he couldn’t think straight. There was a dead body in the cockpit! He needed to be alone. That was when he saw it. Looking up, there stood a rather long figure, wrapped in a black cloak. “Wh-Wh-Who are you?! Who the hell are you?!” Bill was freaking out of his mind. “Did you kill him?! Who the hell are you to kill him?! You miserable little…” That was Bill’s end. The figure held his neck in one hand, one skeletal, rotting hand. “Pitiful maggot…” said the form in a raspy, yet feminine voice. In a fast move, she threw Bill into the storage hold. She would let him rot… So, she, because she was a woman, in graceful elegant strides, entered the cockpit. Each step taken by her was followed by strange cracking and dripping sounds. Adjusting her cloak so that she was still completely wrapped around it, she snapped her fingers. John, the horribly maimed pilot, suddenly sat up in his chair. “Continue on with your original flight plan, swine…” the woman said. “Yes… My queen…” And so the plane continued to fly into the night.
Red saw it. The wish fragment. Not his, but, someone else’s. It was making its way up an apartment complex building. “Hmm… Who could it be?” he spoke out loud to himself. He quickly dropped the random elderly woman that he had been hulk smashing and followed the shining orb of light. It was beautiful, but not like his, his was red. Although, this one appeared red, too. But that was to be expected, seeing as Red can only see, well, red. It gained more and more altitude, the orb, as it floated story over story. Red was lucky he could fly, otherwise he’d have to use an elevator! That would’ve been an awkward moment… Suddenly, the orb stopped in front of a small window. It hovered, softly humming for a moment. Then, it simply phased through the window, as if it were going through a soft silk curtain. Red, of course, couldn’t do the same, so… He simply smashed through the window, leaving a massive gaping hole in his wake. He didn’t have time to see who it was that the orb had entered, but, witnessing amazing process that was the transformation was truly something that astonished Red. The light from the orb began to dim, slowly revealing the form of a woman. He raised an eyebrow. Who was that? he pondered a moment, not recognizing the face. It was a rather strongly built woman, with armor up the wazoo. She had a rather large sword strapped to her back. The woman coughed and wheezed. “Ugh. What the hell was that, Red?” she asked. This caught him off guard, he hadn’t had a calmed conversation with anyone in a while, it had just been threats and insults to his victims. “Oh… Umm…” He didn’t even really know the answer to that question. “Well, you see, a shining orb of light entered you and granted you your ’Rosso’s Place’ power…” The woman, by this time, had made her way next to Red. “Wow, that’s deep…” she said. Red still didn’t recognize who the woman was. It was kind of an awkward silence, seeing as the stranger was fondling her breasts and whatnot. “So this is what it feels like to be a woman…” Red couldn’t help but laugh out loud, he didn’t like to show much emotion, but the thought of the woman having been a man made this whole situation even better than it once was. He knew who it was then. “Sucks to be you, Phage.” Phage, that’s who it was. She jokingly punched Red on the shoulder. “Umm… You’re wearing your gloves, right?” he asked her, Red didn’t want his shoulder to suddenly rot and then fall off. Phage simply rolled her eyes, “Men…” she said. Red laughed some more. It was nice to have found someone else. “So tell me Phage, what were you doing before I crashed into your house?” he said this with a smug grin on his face, he loved having super strength. Phage, on the other, was deep in thought. “Well… I wasn’t doing anything really…” She tapped her chin, thinking. “There’s no electricity around here for miles, there’s nothing to do…” Red stopped laughing. “Hey… The same thing happened to me!” he barked. It was then that it struck them, like lightning. “Damn! He works fast, doesn’t he?!” Phage was frantically flailing about her once home. How she moved that fast with all that armor was an impossible notion to comprehend. “I was hearing on the news, before my power went out, that they’ve been having mass blackouts across the country!” Red was processing thoughts, he wasn’t really listening to Phage. There was a brief period of silence. That’s when the smoke rolled in. It seemed like a regular occurrence, so they paid no mind to it. “I think we should find the others…” Red said softly. Phage nodded in agreement, this was turning out to be an epic day. “Where to?” Red asked her. Phage’s smile turned into a frown, it was time to get serious. Meanwhile, the strange smoke that had made its way into the apartment, was now floating harmlessly under their feet, it was waiting. “Well the closest would be Florida, but…” She paused a moment, looking at the smoke, and raised an eyebrow at it. “I have a feeling we wouldn’t find anything…” Red was pacing up and down the room, causing the smoke to dissipate and rematerialize in a cycle as he passed over it. The image of a boy popped into Phage’s head. “We can look for Ziek…” she thought she’d throw the idea out there. Red just shrugged, anyone was good right now. “Fine… To South Carolina it is!” Red went over to Phage and lifted her over his shoulder. “Woah! What’re you doing?!” she protested. “I’m carrying you… So we can go…” Phage patted his back, which was surprisingly easy to do so since she was staring at it upside down. “I’m not a weak little girl, Red…” In an instant, beams of a strange purple energy came shooting down from on high. The roof, and the few floors above theirs, had been completely destroyed. A bead of sweat dripped from Red’s forehead. “Fine… Whatever you say…” Still, Red lightly placed her on her feet. “Goin’ up…” Phage said with a smile. In an instant, another beam of that strange purple energy was shot down from a dark storming purple cloud that had formed over head. “Woah.” Red replied in reaction to the hole thing. The beam of energy enveloped Phage, and in the blink of an eye, she was gone. “Hurry up Red…” she said in a smug voice. He simply shook his head and took to the skies. A large menacing purple cloud overhead, and an equally large menacing hulk of a man underneath, they were a force to be reckoned with. The smoke that had mysteriously rolled in on them was gone. It was floating inconspicuously behind them, watching…
Meanwhile, in some remote desert location, the man laughed. The same man that was the reason for the mass blackouts plaguing the nation. His laugh was so horrifying that it could instill fear of the lord into anyone that heard it. He had taken the power away from the country, he held the winning hand. The man stopped as he reached a strange building. It was strange because, it was in the middle of the desert. It looked like a small apartment complex. But, thanks to a super advanced robotic eye, the man knew that it actually ran several miles underground. “You sure you wanna do this, Jing?” said a voice. The man turned around to face its origin. There stood an incredibly flamboyant looking individual. “Oh great…” Jing said, rolling his eyes. He was about to execute his master plan, until he was interrupted. He had hoped this would happen, though… Just not by the fool that had appeared. The man, the flamboyant one, stood there, his arms in a heroic pose on his hips, the man’s smile shone in the moonless night, his bleach blonde hair… Well, let’s not go there. “I’m afraid I’m going to have to stop you, foul villain!” Jing giggle-snorted. “Do you even listen to yourself when you talk? You sound like the biggest homo on the planet…” Jing simply laughed some more and continued walking towards the base. In a flash of super speed, the flamboyant man stood before Jing. “Now, now, now. We don’t have to be violent… Let’s just all hold hands… And be kind… And gent-” The man was cut off, mainly due to the fact that Jing had sent a bolt of great electrical energy right to his face. “What’s next? You want us to cuddle?” With dexterous ability, Jing rapidly sent a kick in the general direction of the overly feminine hero. “Listen Gaiaman…” He laughed at the name, “You don’t stand a chance, You’ve never stood a chance, not in the Internet and not in real life, get out of my way!” As the skin-tight spandex wearing ‘defender of the people’ lay there, whelping like a Scottish terrier, Jing had short-circuited the electrical fence surrounding the compound and entered. Bullets were being fired in his general direction, none of them reached their mark. Jing’s natural electromagnetic field deflected the bullets and shot them right back at their senders. “This is almost too easy…” he said with a smug grin. As he reached the large gate that would lead him into the facility, a large missle was shot into his back. This of course, grazed him a bit. He was shot through the titanium gate, which was a great help, but he was still burried under a rather heavy metallic door. Concentrating his energy, the door was quickly shot through the roof and off into the horizon. “Oh, so you want to play?” Looking around he noticed a large robotic creature slowly stomping its way towards him. “Oh! This is rich!” Jing pretended to swipe off a fake comical tear from the corner of his eye. “HALT! WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED!” declared the booming voice from the mech suit’s speakers. “Surrounded?” Jing took a moment to look around, everyone around him was either dead, or horribly paralyzed. “Nice try!” he shouted back at the mech. Suddenly, in a metallic uproar, the technical anomaly began to fire round after round of ammunition towards the intruder, Jing. “Simple minded idiots…” Its bullets had no effect on him, for aforementioned reasons. Jing’s hand began to glow and crackle, energy could be seen rising from his feet, he was glowing. The mech continued to shoot bullets, but to no avail. The lowly soldier that was trapped inside controlling it was defecating bricks. It almost seemed that a second before Jing unleashed the mass wave of energy, the whole world went silent. As the wave traveled, shocking everything in its path and burning them to a crisp, the poor soldier was disintegrated on contact, the metallic beast in which he resided would become his tomb. Jing turned around and continued to the underground areas of the facility, he couldn’t get distracted now, he was looking for something, something that would allow him to let the country know, that he was their leader now.
