So, I ran into Master Endymion the other day. Zoisite calls him Master all the time and for some strange reason it seems familiar to me. He said he hoped one day we would find it in our hearts to serve him once more. Strangely, it made me rather uncomfortable. I have never though of serving anyone but Beryl-sama, yet I felt suddenly like I knew what he was talking about. It is strange. Kunzite is confused as well so we have been talking. Either way, I will not hurt Bri-hime.
I invited her to a carnival. I can’t remember the last time I just did something like that for fun. It was strange yet nice to be idle and alone with Bri-hime without worrying about gathering enough energy, or spying on the senshi, or some other serious task. The Ferris Wheel was wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever been on one. At the top I could see all around and we even caught sight of her garden in the distance. She was happy about that and smiled, her eyes sparkling in the sunlight.
As we were standing at the game booths I began to sense something was strange. Bri-hime was strangely quiet too and I believe she sensed it. Suddenly a youma came after us, and it was not one sent by any of the Tennou. I recognize their energies, and they would not dare to attack me or Bri-hime anyway. My first thought was for her safety and I went right for the youma hoping to extinguish it quickly before she could come to any harm but that was precisely what it wanted me to do and my moves were anticipated. I found myself being thrown across the games area and had just climbed to my feet to begin again when I caught sight of Bri-hime.
I watched raptly as she called upon her senshi powers of plants and nature taking care of the youma quite effectively. I was afraid for her at first and ran towards her but as the youma was destroyed my gaze turned to surprise. Even in battle she exuded beauty and natural grace. She saw my dumbfounded stare and I believe she was frightened of my reaction as she ran off, and then came back. Even though I wished I could have destroyed the youma myself, I have never been so glad or so proud to hold someone in my arms as that day.
