It seems to me that the American people cannot seem to define freedom. According to the vast majority of people in my school freedom is nothing more than a promise that one can do whatever they wish. The other is that they are entitled to everything on the planet. Freedom to me does not truely exist. When you get hired for a job you are now a slave to your boss, a paid slave but still a slave. In marriage you are no longer a single person but a pair which has to figure out some way to make the world of your life go 'round. Everyday the lives of people are being discriminated, shut down, and even ended by others. How is that fair? The answer is it's not. People do not completely belong solely to themselves. There isn't anything in this world that belongs only to oneself. Everyone has connections to someone else and shares something with them. That is why you can never be free. That is why it is also amusing, sad, and dear.
