I had so much fun today!

Song of the Day...Dango Daikazoku, from Clannad

Status: on the verge of a sore throat

Today was so much fun, eheh! So, to start off, I went to school as I usually do. And I went down to the cafeteria with Vivian and I did the lab for Biology.

Second period was fun. We got to freewrite for once in a while. And I was actually satisfied with where my story was going for once. Unfortunately, writer's block kicked in at the last minute! Also, Annie brought in those little strips of paper that you make stars with. I remember when Maggie showed me and Jasdeep how to make them in the fifth grade! ^^

Third period was alright. I actually understood all of it! Hilariously enough, yesterday, me and Amy had no clue what the hell we were doing in the math homework. So then, Amy called me and we did it together, and in the process of learning absolutely nothing we were somehow able to do all of the problems. xD Of course, as it turned out, we did many of them the hard way. xD

Lunch was pretty fun. I ditched Lindah, Priya, Bushra, Fariha, and Michelle in the library again. I met Esther in the hall and we went upstairs to the third floor to study for Latin. Of course, at some point she mentioned that it was an open book test. xD Heh heh, yes I got full points, though I got a 99.5 on the test anyway, so those points are added on elsewhere. =)

Latin was alright. We worked on the little extra credit quiz and then we just defined some latin phrases. Haha, Kevin (Moon, i think i had his paper to grade) wanted me to give him an air knuckle punch. xD Lol.

Biology was oh so much fun. The lab was EASY. I'm glad I studied mitosis on my own! It's so easy! And meiosis which I found to be oh so complicated yesterday will also be a breeze for me! ^^ In the lab, all we had to do was observe the cells in the root caps of a certain plant, and identify what phase (interphase, prophase, emtaphase, anaphase, telaphase) the cells were in. Of course, the boring part was that each person had to count all of the cells that were in each phase and then average them! Since we're actually going to complete the class data for this lab. Heh heh, Mr. Davis said I had to make my diagrams smaller lolz, because I oversized them since I thought it looked weird to draw it so small. But I was actually supposed to draw exactly what I saw. ^^

Afterwards, along came Global. Global was alright. ^^ We talked about why the Japanese are so clean. xD And of course, Mr. McManamon had more of his wonderful stories of his time in Japan to entertain us with. ^^

English was pretty boring. The drug lady taught us more about abstinence and drugs and alcohol. The funny part was in the end when Michael and Johnny were acting out a scenario. Michael was offering Johnny a cigarette, and he was trying to deny it with the alternatives that we learned about. xD

At some point, I noticed Salma waiting outside of my English class. xD It took me quite a while to get ready and leave. It always seems to take me a while these days for some reason. xD So. Me and Salma took the bus to her house. And we talked about the usual random things. She actually told me about how hwe mother was a total workoholic, though I couldn't really tell.

When we got to her house, which was quite lovely by the way, we went in and I took my sneakers. Then we went upstairs and did ozu so we could do namaz. Heh heh, it took us like an hour to pray because we kept talking inbetween. xD

I also met her mother and sister. Her mother is REALLY nice! And she's totally easy to talk to! Not like one of those parent where you just want to walk away as quick as possible. It was actually quite nice talking to her. She just asked about my family a bit and where I lived and stuff like that. And I can tell that she's very religious. ^^ Ah, how I admire he in that way.

So, for prayers, I borrowed the purple hijab that Salma was wearing today. And I was but of course wearing my blue collared shirt with my periwinkle sweater and light blue jeans. So after prayers, we read Surah Ya Sin in the Quran. And then we watch episode four of VAMPIRE KNIGHT! KYAAAAH! SUGOI DESU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it so much! ^^

After that we listened to some music, and I talked to Salma's sister (her little one), Sophia. She was SO ADORABLE! She's so friendly! Salma doesn't get along with her too well, but I actually thing they're really alike. They're both always so happy. Though, then again, people get the impression that I'm always happy when I'm actually not happy the majority of the time. xD Ah well...the silly misinterpretations people make these days, rite? Anyway, Sophia was out flying her kite, but then it broke, so she came back in and talked to us.

Me and Salma studied a bit of Bio, and then we had dinner. This was around seven. Her mom makes awesome rice!!! And chicken. Lol...Salma eats chicken. xD She tole me that next time she says that she's a vegetarian in global, I can call her a liar. xD Her mom makes her eat chicken because she needs to get more healthy. She claims that when she's older and healthier, she'll stop eating meat 100%. Also, while we were eating, I talked to Noel on the phone. She called Salma for some of the database passwords for the school website databases. And while Salma went off to get them, she let us talk about colors. Heh heh yes, another one of my randomized conversations!

After we ate, I talked to Salma and her Mom for a while (trying to convince her to let Salma come with me to Sakura Matsuri on Sunday!). And then we went back upstairs to her room. Her room is very sweet by the way. It has light green walls, and she has her bed to the right accompanied by a little window. And then she has a closet in the front with another closet to the left of it. And beside that is her desk with her computer and other stuffz. ^^ She has these cute little animal posters on the wall too! ^^

Anyway, I spent quite a while talking to Salma and Sophia and listening to music, so I ended up leaving at like 7:40. xD I was initially supposed to leave at 6 as Amma dictated, but then we had to finish praying, and it took a while to eat, so it came down to 7. Hopefully, I'll be able to go over to her place again next next Saturday (tomorrow i hav SAT2 bio prep classes ^^). Or Sunday if that works.

Anyway, I PRAY that we can go to Sakura Matsuri!!!!!!!!!!!!! For anyone who hasn't heard, this is a festival in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. 'Kay! ^^
