Just another lesson in how life never bores you if you're paying attention.
May 5, 2008

It's been FOREVER since i've written here, but if today's entry goes well, they'll be more regular from now on.
Today i managed to do my translation paper for Spanish right before the class started. I got half done in PreCal, half during lunch. 18 more days till school is out!!

Today is Monday. Last SaturdayI went to a friends' house and beat the game Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time with her. It was so awesome and I didn't even have to use a fairy or a green potion! Then we went to my other friends' house to see what sound the gamecube starter would make when we held down the Z button on all four controllers. It...was...so cool.

My family doesn't have space for a pet, and I respect that, but lately all I've been thinking about is what it would be like to have a little Yorkie or Dachshund around the house to play with. I might be slightly obsessed. But it takes so much commitment to care for and train a dog, and I'm not sure if I or any of my family have that commitment.. sad My bus driver (she's so nice) suggested I go and offer to walk or play with a friend's dog. It sounds good to me. I also had the idea myself to maybe get a job in an animal shelter to solve two problems: my desire to be around dogs AND my lack of money! HUTTAH!!!

I'm a cat person as well as a dog person, but the whole media seems to have gone anti-cat. "Dog in Japan waits ten years for its owner. Meanwhile, your cat just left you because your neighbors bought a premium-brand cat food." Why does nobody just let cats be cats? emo Besides, I know who the real enemy is....squirrels.

For almost a whole year I didn't have any dreams, but now I'm dreaming when I sleep again. Now I pay attention to my dreams. I think it was Friday night, I dreamed I was standing in my yard in Sunday clothes and this fat kid and a bunch of little kids started bugging me, so I flapped my arms up and down and rose 40 feet into the air and stayed there and glared at them until they left and I could get down. I consider dreams a premium source of inspiration and entertainment.

My favorite new quote: "A man can't live on bread alone. That's why we have Oreos." My little brother came up with that one.
