Tuesday...A Drive to Study for Biology!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Looking forward to tomorrow is harder than it looks and high expectations tend to be a letdown, so why not just be happy for something entirely different?

Happy for what? Ask yourself that.

Song of the Day...Girl's Night Out, by Miley Cyrus

Status: pretty good if i may say so

Some days are dead. Some days are alive. And some days are inbetween. That inbetween day happens to have lung cancer. So it will more than likely be dead by midnight. And then we'll have another day ahead. So let's talk about this one while it's still around, 'kay?

First period was the same as always, but better and worse in some ways. I was my happy and cheerful self as usual, while I did my English homework and attempted to o my Latin homework. And of course there was the usual teasing of Amy and everyone else. Vivian actually decided to accompany me to the cafeteria today. ^^ Don't you see why I'm happy? Come on, think about it. What is it that I've hated all my life?

Second period was okay. Somehow I felt a little awkward with my friends because it kind of felt like they all had something in common that I didn't. But that never stuck out much before did it? It only makes sense when I actually say it, I suppose.

Third period was rather boring. I understood all of the circle theorems, and so far it's quite easy. I expect to ace that test tomorrow.

Lunch was fun for once in a while. Me and Lindah and Michelle went to the back and we studied for Biology. ^^ For some reason everyone thinks that I work super hard. Perhaps I study a bit more than them, but I still feel like I'm not doing enough. What if I don't know everything on time?

Latin was alright. Ms. Rocchio was absent, but we had a substitute today. I'm not quite sure what her name was, but she was alright. She simply gave us the handouts that were left for us, and left us to it. I worked on it with Rahima, Nicholas, Christine, Lee, and Esther, though I ended up doing most of the work. Somehow I really got into it. Heh heh, guess that's the mood for working huh?

Biology was pretty fun. We had a relatively simple lab today on the different forms of asexual reproduction. I ought to commit all that I learned about that stuff to memory. It will more than likely come in handy for the SAT2s.

Global was okay too. We took some notes and watched a samurai video. Mr. McManamon is really into them, and it was an okay movie for it's time I suppose. Interesting to say, Star Wars was widely influenced by certain old samurai movies. I also felt very "in the working mood" during Global. I was able to do the worksheets quite easily, when normally I would daze off and then ask Salma "So what are we doing? I wasn't listening." But today I actually read the handouts with interest. Yes, they were indeed interesting. I liked the story about the samurai named Takumi who was insulted multiple times by his superior. He, at some point, killed his superior. And with great honor, he forthcomingly commited seppuku, meaning suicide. Soon after, his samurai (Takumi was a daimyo) who were now ronin (they no longer had a master or lord) avenged his death by killing the man who brought about his death by continuously insulting and degrading him. These loyal samurai then took responsibility for their crime and also committed seppuku. I thought that was a really great story. ^^

Then Mr. McManamon also told us another interesting little tidbit about ninjas. He said that it may have just been a rumor, but samurai often lived in castles that were very tall with moats that were meant to be ninja-proof. And if a ninja were ver able to get over the castle walls, there were nails beneath the floorboards inside that caused the floor to creak, making it loud and obvious that someone was approaching. But, he also said that the ninjas came up with a way to counter this by wearing extravagant shoes that could cover the entire floorboard and evenly distribute the weight, so that the nails beneath the floors would not creak them. And the ninjas would be free to stealthily assasinate the samurai.

After Global was good old English. We stuck to yesterday's handout and also took notes on our own. Of course, I took the time to catch up on my reading since I'm a little behind due to my excessive amount of daily procrastinating. However, today I don't plan to procrastinate at all! No way! I have a drive to study! So I WILL study! And I will know genetics inside out!

Anyway, I should go finish up my Latin homework from the day before now, since I didn't do it before. And I do need the internet. And hopefully, I won't get stuck wasting time on manga!

Also, I skipped anime club again today. I wonder, will everyone stop going eventually? Ah well, what could be done? We don't do much fun stuff. ><

I got an email from Bucky finally too! And quite a long one at that! ^^ All about her vacation with her husband. =)
