*sigh* One of our kittens died on Monday.
Her name was Wanda and she was my favourite in that litter. We're not really sure what happened, we took her to the vet on Sunday after we found her outside and she was unable to move her back legs. At first we thought she might have been hit by a car and the vet seemed to think so too, I think.
She stayed overnight and the vet took some xrays and found no broken bones. So he told us to come pick her up and take her home and see what happened. She had spent the day playing with the vet nurses and seemed fine.
But when we went in to collect her, literally as we were walking into the surgery, she suddenly had a fit and died. The vet seemed to be in shock when he told us. I didn't even know he was talking about Wanda at first. I just couldn't comprehend. Here he was talking about the kitten who just died and how he tried all he could to resusitate it and all I was thinking was 'Where is Wanda, why isn't she out yet? Why is he telling us about some other kitten?'
Looking back it looks like it might have been something in her brain, she was always a little slower than the two other boys, Daniel and Angus, and more accident prone. Her mother used to leave her out by herself as a really little kitten (that's how she got her name Wanda because we thought she wandered too much). I guess Ma (mother cat) must have known something we didn't. The fourth kitten of the litter never mande it past a few days.
She was only about 13 weeks old. She was black with white whiskers and a bit of a white chest. Her paws were white, except for one little toe on her front left foot which was black. I loved that toe, I thought it was adorable.
We called her Miss Priss and Little Madam because she was such a little cat, you know? She was a cat and she knew it, she didn't have people she had staff! She used to sit at your feet and get pissy if you didn't pick her up first, or if you gave the boys more attention then she thought they deserved.
I'm glad we had her as long as we did, but I'm going to miss that little cat. emo

The Rambling Musings of GeekyTanta
Call it a 'stream of consciousness'. It can be anything, anytime, mostly here.
A bit of rambling, some ranting and general stuff I stumble across through the net.
And, hopefully *fingers crossed* some writing, too.
