Suki's Journal- A Dragon's Eye View
A collection of random writings, including my Hellsing fanfiction, Darkness and Light. It also has a few Dream Avis I made when I was bored. ._.
Failed Attempts
Suki sighed, gazing up at the clear blue sky with baleful violet eyes. Why me? Why does all this junk always happen to me? She wondered grimly.
Her mission to recover her swallowed swords had not gone well.
The Bisshop demon had not been there when she'd gone to the NeverWinter base, and she'd waited impatiently for her chance to get her Air Fangs back. Meanwhile, a young member of the NeverWinter family had been talking to her. She'd explained how the very same demon that had swallowed the Air Fangs had also tried to kill her when she was small. This news was disturbing in itself, but then Suki noticed that she had some kind of injury, and kept falling down... Suki had been helpless to do anything, clueless as she was in the art of healing.
And then Bisshop came.
Suki was extremely tempted to slice his stomach open then and there, but she knew there were bigger problems at the moment. The young girl was in pain from her injury, and losing blood fast. Realizing this, Bisshop had volunteered to heal her... For a price, as he'd put it. When Suki had gave him the evil eye, he'd shrugged and said that his healing hurt... Intensely. And would continue hurting just as intensely for a while afterwards.
The girl groaned in pain and he drew closer, kneeling swiftly beside her and telling the dragon half-demon to hold her down.
The dragon half-demon did not comply.
While the girl sprung up from the ground and dashed away in a panic, Suki stepped between them, glaring ferally at the demon. She told him to back off- There was no way she was going to trust the likes of him, a person who had tried to kill this very same girl before.
He denied that he'd tried to kill her, but the girl insisted that he had.
By this time, Suki was extremely frustrated. Why was she caught in the middle of this mess? She had nothing to do with these people! Thankfully, the girl's brother showed up, and, conveniently, was able to heal people.
Suki had stepped back and glared at Bisshop. "How're the wings?" He'd inquired innocently. She'd had just about enough of this. "Listen, you," She'd snapped irritably. "I'm only here for my Air Fangs. I want them back. NOW. So... Cough them up, and no one gets hurt."
He'd seemed to find this amusing, and explained cheerfully that once something went into 'the infinite abyss of his stomach,' there was no getting it out again. She'd darkly suggested cutting his stomach open to get it, but he'd replied that that would close the abyss and probably kill him... But would do nothing to get the swords back.
So... It was a lost cause.
Then she'd remembered something... I spoke to his father the other day... And he'd said that he would get my Air Fangs back... So there's got to be some way to do it!
There was still hope.
And it was that hope that she had to cling to now.
Suki, now sitting under the arch of blossom-covered branches from a sakura tree, sighed again as the light slowly leached out of the sky above her. I will get those Air Fangs back. I have to... They're all I've got, the only possessions I actually care about...
I'm not giving up.
Not yet.
