Ms. Megan, my answer to your comment got a little delayed, but here it finally is.
Well, Mr. Hampus. Your theories would certainly make us all gods.
Indeed, at least it would make us gods in a small degree. When maybe everything we see, do, percept and believe is a creation of our own mind, we could - if we knew exactly how to - be able to create a world on our own, that only exists for ourselves, but it would be as if everyone in it were... themselves.
Somehow, I do think that our full potential will be unlocked when we die. As we live, we only make us of a small fraction of our brains, and as we are freed from the prison of living, we will expand our consciousness into something much more great; maybe even join with God.
I'm not saying this is true, I just love to think in different ways.
And if we are, then we all should be extremely egotistical.
Which I actually do believe because without that selfish self love, people have no real potential at all. They merely follow the ones who do have their narcissism going on.
Yes, that does sound correct.
Everyone are actually deep inside very egoistical and self-centered in every way. I discovered that during the days I saw myself as a Satanist, and Satanists are very selfish people who put themselves first.
If we see it like this:
You feel so bad when you see people suffer, and you want nothing else but to help them. As you do help them, you feel better yourself. So, that compassion you felt for them made you feel bad for them, and thus you needed to help them feel better to make yourself feel better.
True?
And if we don't have that selfish self love, we wouldn't be able to do much at all, as we wouldn't have any real potential, just as you said. Instead then, we would follow someone who knows how to have their narcissism going on.

As far as paranormal, seeing as you said people create these things, then it's only going to be true for the people who create them, and the small about of people near them whom they can interact with.
That was somehow what I meant, too. And still, not what I meant.
It's a tough subject as it needs to be seen in many different views, and none of them are true at the same time as they all are.
As I did say that people created these things, then it actually is true what you said. It is only true for those who believed in it and to those in their vicinity.
It was a common belief in Sweden some hundred years ago, and for many it was really true. There are still people today who believe in that kind of things; my 4th grade teacher (Malin) strongly believed she had a vätte in her stable, as her horse's mane had been braided every morning. She said that only very tiny hands could've braided the hair in such a way.
As she strongly believed in it, even her horse was affected by it.
Either they are actually small creatures invisible to the human eye that needs someone to believe in them to be able to exist (Sounds like fairies), or they are just something created out of the person's mind. If the later is correct, then my theory of the power of our mind when it comes to create things is being strengthened.
Somehow, reading about it in a book doesn't do much to make it real sometimes.
True. It could be because we are programmed not to believe in those kinds of things anymore, as our whole world is changing more and more. First, we were very spiritual and almost everyone believed in God; then we became more and more forced to believe in science, and now we are actually going back into being even more spiritual than in a long time. Everywhere different cults are showing up, almost every day.
The programming in not believing in these kinds of things are changing as well, which might be because we need spirituality, or because some changes are needed for us to survive. Or something.
I do know I've had experiences with friends, and being in the same room as them, I could hear and see things they could, things their minds must have created.

Yes, that is interesting. Depending on the person, the same thing happens to me. I know that, in a different way than what you just said, whatever you are describing to me appears in my mind as if I was watching a movie. It is only from you that I can experience that. And it is really interesting.
