B A C K W A R D S
- • I was born just shy of midnight in what was, at the time, Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital in Arizona. It was later renamed Banner Thunderbird.
• My family and I moved to Seattle, Washington, when I was six and that was the first time I became invisible. It was simply easier than working through the awkward starter phase of friendship.
• Shortly after we moved, my mother had Serena, my little sister. We celebrate her on August sixteenth every year.
• I quickly exceeded the limitations of normal schools, cruising easily through their low-aimed curriculum. By the end of elementary school, my parents were wondering what they were ever going to do with me.
• Thankfully, at that point I got my invitation to Queen Victoria. I didn't even need the scholarship offered - we have plenty of money.
• Junior high was uneventful purely because no one noticed me enough to bother me or befriend me. I would sneak out of my room at night, though, and search the school's nooks and crannies because I suffer from killer insomnia at times.
• Just before I finished my eighth year of schooling and my second year at Queen Victoria, my mother called to inform me that she was divorcing my father. I had to agree; he'd turned into a bit of a drunken bum when Mother, a lawyer, started raking in the dough.
• Almost exactly a year later, my mother started dating again, one of the clients she'd helped out of a sticky situation. A man by the name of Peter Jones with a simple speeding violation. She won the case with ease and a week later, he asked her on their first date.
• Peter and my mom were exclusive for a while, but it turned out Peter was a little frisky and couldn't keep his hands to himself. Three or four months after it started, Mom broke up with him and instead, took a chance and asked out her secretary.
• Two years later, after going strong through the entire relationship, Ryan asked her to marry him and I was whisked away from Queen Victoria during my winter break for the ceremony.
• During summer break, my mother had another girl, little Stefanie, on July seventh. I won the battle for her nickname and she will forever be known at Steffy.
• I enjoyed the rebellion, and the after effects as well, beyond the fact that everyone knows about me now. They don't know who exactly I am (I am always very discreet), but they know someone of my caliber was involved. I am now assaulted by rumors everywhere I go, the latest theories on who the Spy of the Court really is and it's only a matter of time before they figure it out.
