This is only advice for you, not a "how to" nor a "tutorial"
1. Standout : Nobody wants to see a profile that has already been created, make something of your own creation "Start your own creation, don't follow other people's work."
2. Expression : You should make a profiloe that matches your personality, emotion and feelings. "Don't make a profile that your not happy with, always make a profile that expresses you best."
3. Relax : If someone comments/Pms you and says that they don't like your profile, relax. Thats just one person out of millions of people viewing your profile. "Out of every person on Gaia and one person dislikes your profile see how many people there are on the web."
4. Learn : As you may know, not everyone is good at everything. If you have a deep passion for web designing/profile making but you've haven't mastered it yet then don't give up on your dreams. Look for tutorials on Gaia, DeviantArt or any other kind of site that allows tutorials.
5. Make it work : Although brushes, gradients, patterns and color are very important, it's also very important to use unique fonts. They play a big role in profiles. If you say use Ariel in a floral profile (such as mine) then it will look less exciting and it won't work with the colors, essence and the overall apperance at all! Try to find a font that works best for you.
6. Respect : Respect others' artwork. Don't steal, edit, copy nor bash someone's profile. It's very rude and might cost you your account too.
