I'm so exhausted today, we did so much, and according to the Las Vegas clock it's not even 6. It's almost 8 here as I'm typing this but here goes nothing:
I had already went to bed around 2, and I had to get up at 6, so I asked Grandpa if he'd wake me when he went out to feed the pigeons. He did, and I already felt like crap the moment I sat up from lying on the sofa. I guess it was just me worrying over the camera deal, afraid I'd screw up and all that, but looking back I was overreacting.
We got ready before Meghan, Grandma, and Grandpa, plus we needed an early start, so we left early. A few people had already made it, so they were greeting all the new arrivals while I set up the camera near the pews. I was supposed to get a shot of everyone, then a sde view for everyone with the baby, then a close up of the pastor baptizing Sophia.
Lots of people showed up, more than I expected, but I guess a majority of them were just there for Sunday Worship. The sermon went ok as a usual service would go, they actually just kinda added Sophie's Christening into it, it wasn't like just for her. I think I did ok with the camera work, my dad said I did fine. We went through the service which was ok, and Sophia didn't cry real bad or anything so I think everything was fine.
After the service we were all invited to the dining hall where we served the food, the adults got us set up, but mostly Meghan and I did the handing out cake and coffee. Coffee was the "top seller", but we weren't making it fast enough, but the cake and sandwiches were awesome, and we saw people from the BBQ again, and met some more family who had come out to celebrate. It was a wonderful celebration, and Sophia even got some gifts, but man, the ride home was so satsifying, we were all tired and just wanted to rest, and as I was writing the 3rd entry earlier, Kelly, Dad, and Sophia were all napping on the guest bed. Meghan worked me over, making me swim and ride bikes with her. Finally when I tried to get a shot on the computer, she jumped on that too, so I tried to nap, but she followed me in there because she wasn't getting how to play games Online. I never should have told her she could do something like that. This computer just can't handle that kind of stuff.
So, I'm on right now. Grandma's making refried beans for breakfast tomorrow, Meghan's gotta go to bed for school, I don't really know what my parents are doing, or my Grandpa. But I'm sitting in the computer room, on the crappy computer, writing this out so my friends know how much I miss them when they all go off to school or work tomorrow without me and I'm still here in the morning, counting the days. Dammit, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm really sad.
Everybody have a good first day for me, ok? I hope you all read this before the end of tonight, I'll try to stay on to see if I can catch any of you on the computer, but I doubt that'll happen.
Good night guys, have great dreams.
