Ok, so this happened to me a while ago. I was just sitting at the computer, surfin' teh interwebs, when the AOL call alert goes off. What was strange was that it was my home phone number. And I have dial-up. And only one home phone. I get off the computer anyway and answer it. No on answered. So I hang up and not 30 seconds later, it rang again! And no on was there O_O It really freaked me out >.> So I told my mom about it when she came home later that day. Not five minutes after I told her, the phone rang. "If I answer that and nobody is there, I'm going to scream." I warned my mom. So I answered the phone. "Hello....hello? Oh my god, hello!!? HELLO!?!" Then I slammed the phone down. "THAT IS CREEPY!!" I shouted as I stabbed my finger at the phone. >.> And it doesn't help that I had just read a fanfiction baised off of 'One Missed Call'.
(Speaking of that movie, I also got a random phone call from a private number that freaked me out. When I answered it, all I could hear where random voices and noises. I haven't died yet, so I guess I'm safe. xd ;; )
A day or two later, I went to a late showing of Sweeny Todd with my sister. After the show, my cell phone had run out of minutes, so I suggested using a payphone. I picked up the receiver and started putting the money in. Before I was finished, the pre-recorded operater lady started talking. "You do not have enough money to make a call. Please hang up and deposit the correct amout of change." (It was something along thoughs lines >.>; ) I thought 'Well, I'm not done putting the money in.' so I continued to deposit the coins. As soon as I had inserted another coin, the recording played again, only this time it was different... "You do not have enough money to make a call. Please hang up and deposit the correct amout of change." She sounded like some kind of distorted demon from hell! "Ok!" I squeaked and hung up quickly. My sister was also somewhat scared when I told her about it.
