PART TEN: REUNITE
A sharp stinging could be felt in Miyumi's wound.
"I...I...Itai....!"
"Quit wigglin'!" Hidan snapped.
"Am I dead?"
"Ha-ha-ha-ha, no." His voice dripped in sarcasm.
"Oh..... wait where is Yuriko and Deidara?!?!" Miyumi yelled as she sat up but then screamed in pain
"I told you not to move."
"Where are we....?"
He sighed. "Deidara's over there." He pointed to a bed on the other side of the room. "And Yuriko . . ."
"where is she Hidan......"
"I searched the entire base, but never found her."
"No... No....this is all of my fault...." Miyumi said as her bright red eyes went dull.
"No . . . You did good. You both did." He didn’t mean it, but it he didn’t want to see anyone start crying.
"No its all my fault for agreeing on telling Itachi that the best way Yuriko wouldn't get hurt was to get married... ITS ALL MY FAULT!" Miyumi said as tears of anger fell from her face as she threw her arms around Hidan.
"Um . . ." He patted her head. "There, there. It's . . . okay."
"Im such a baka!"
Itachi was lying in his bed, asleep, reeking of alcohol.
"Im back from my mission...." Kisame said as he walked into Itachi's room. He smelled the alcohol. "Oh great I wonder how this happened.... And why does he smell of blood, too...?"
Yuriko was nowhere to be seen.
"I better go see leader sama....." Kisame then walked out of Itachi's room and went to go find Pein
Tobi was crying in his room.
"Huh.... whats the matter Tobi....."
"They didn't say goodbye to Tobi . . ."
"Who do you mean by they....?"
He didn't answer, but instead went back to crying.
"Tobi answer me...."
But he was not the only one Kisame could hear crying. He could hear someone at the place where Yuriko was born.
Kisame then ran towards the other cries.
They sounded like Yuriko.
He broke into the place. "Yuriko...? Is that you...?"
She was handcuffed to the far wall of the place where her pod had been, crying, thin, pale, and covered in filth, scratches, and bruises. Her beautiful dress was now dirty, ragged, and torn.
"Oh my god! Yuriko!" Kisame then broke the handcuffs with one of his kunai as he hugged her
She was too weak to move. "K-kisame-san . . . ?"
"Hai..! What happened kiddo?"
"Father . . . locked me up . . . Pein . . . hurt me . . ."
"Wouldn't Deidara or Miyumi help you then?!"
". . . gone . . . no one can find them . . . Hidan left, too . . ." She sobbed even harder. "They think . . . they could be dead . . ."
"What was the last thing that happened before you were taken from them.......?"
"Father . . . hurt Deidara-kun . . . badly . . ." She fainted in his arms, feeling unnaturally warm.
"I have to get her out of here...!" Kisame said as he stood up with Yuriko on his back as he dashed out of the lab towards the exit
He crashed headlong into Hidan. "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING, MORON!!!"
"Hidan! your alive!"
He narrowed his eyes, giving Kisame an odd expression. "Thank you, Captain Obvious."
"I have Yuriko with me! Do you know where Deidara or Miyumi are?!"
"Just follow me." He started walking away.
"hai...." Kisame said as he started to follow Hidan
After a few hours of traveling, they came to a small place just on the border of Amegakure. "Here we are."
"Hello fish face....!" Miyumi said weakly as she tried to stand up
"Dang it... You are still alive...."
Hidan groaned. "You two are so perfect for each other, it's sickening."
"Ya whatever leave them alone...... Im going out for a walk...." Miyumi said with dull sad eyes as she used the trees as support as she limped away.
Kisame wasn't as indifferent to what Hidan said. "Why you little!..."
"Nani...? whats going on...." Deidara said while rubbing his sore eyes with a yawn
Kisame then placed Yuriko down where Miyumi used to be as he advance towards Hidan
Yuriko suddenly coughed loudly, splattering blood onto the sheets.
"YURIKO CHAN!!!!" Deidara yelled as he hugged her.
She continued to cough, and more blood came up.
"What should we do?!?!"
"Hidan do you have any idea?!"
He took a small flask from a table. "Give her this. It's a medicine I learned about from my master."
Deidara did as Hidan said as he then gently poured the liquid down Yuriko's throat
"Man . . . She's in really bad shape. I'm surprised she's lasted this long."
Kisame gasped. "Hey I just realized something.... Why would the witch leave when there is a chance that she can get killed when shes alone..."
Hidan almost laughed. "Pfft! Nobody ever comes here. Ever. At all."
"Eh and also the witch can take care of herself!"
"Nnn . . ." Yuriko opened her eyes.
Kisame smiled. "good to see you awake Kiddo!"
"Where am I . . . ?"
"We don't really know un..."
She gasped. "Deidara-kun . . . ?"
"Gomen for not protecting you like I said I would...."
"Don't say that . . . it wasn't your fault . . ."
Kisame nodded. "Itachi was just to strong for you guys...."
She cried out in pain.
Deidara gasped. "Whats wrong?!"
"I've been . . . beaten . . . a lot . . . by Pein."
When Miyumi heard Pein's name she tensed up as she walked back towards the group. " I hope he doesn't come here...."
"The same with Itachi...." Kisame said.
Hidan nodded. "Agreed."
"Shadow village is about a day walk from here.... Do you two still want to go there....?"
"Yes . . ." Yuriko whispered.
"I doubt she'll be going anywhere for a while, though. She'll need some time to recover."
"Kisame you carry Deidara...And I'll carry yuriko.... problem solved..."
Hidan huffed. "Not quite."
"How so....?"
"I said, she'll need time to recover. I wouldn't take her three feet from this place."
"yuriko what do you want...? Do you want to rest for a couple of days or go now?"
She sighed. "I want to stay here . . ."
"Ok then but im going to go look for food ok... Hidan take care of this for me... If you lose this I will kill you..." Miyumi said as she threw him the pendent that was around her neck
He caught it. "O . . . kay."
"But your injured as well!" Deidara stated as he hugged Yuriko tight
She cried out.
"gomen nasai!"
Her face still looked to be tear-streaked.
"I'll be fine yuriko is the one who needs to be careful.... And don't worry Yuriko This time I will make sure I protect you better then I did before...."
"hai! me too!" Kisame said.
Deidara agreed. "I promise."
"Yeah, me too." Hidan looked her over once or twice. "Do you want me to give you a bath?"
"you touch her I will kill you... I'll clean you up all good and make sure those men don't see a thing!"
"Oh, like there seriously is something to see!"
Miyumi then threw hidan into a tree. " Baka hidan.... well do you want to have a bath...?"
"Yes, please . . ."
"Feel my pain Hidan feel my pain!" Kisame said while laughing
Hidan growled. "SHUT UP!!!"
Ok then I'll clean you up right after this..." Miyumi said as she also threw Kisame into a tree
Deidara laughed. "Um......I'll just...go...now...Bye!" he said as he ran off.
