Working on stage
I'm begining to suspect that things working out for me at the last minute are simply a way of my life. I managed to get an internship at OnStage only a few hours before the deadline. >-< Lucky me.
But I like it so far....kinda'. OnStage is the company that makes the costumes for the 'Legends' show here in Las Vegas, as well as a few other places. I'm doing a lot of stitching by hand. Sewing on snaps is a bee-tch.
There was talk about becoming an intern for Cirque costumes. But turns out all the costumes for them are couture. Which is a term we use in the fashion industry that basically means custom-made, in loose terms. And to make things even worst they only have a shop in Qubec. crying Sorry Millie. If I could of worked there I would of shared my perks with you.
In other news little Jun-Jun is proving her worth. My Mom's car is falling apart, and Mi-ko's working her little tail off (two jobs and her modeling jobs on the side), so I get to drive people around and walk. I actually like the walking, but Mom and Mi-ko still freak out about it. To be honest I still get a lot off my mind when I take walks. But on the up-side I'm not thinking about things that make me so depressed, since I keep my mind occupied.
How do I do that?
Lots....of Manga. I now have sevral series that I am up to date on. And just for the hell of it.
1. Nana - Still really good. I love how Ai makes such great stories and it's all based in real life. No Magic, or Mechs. Just a good story. It makes me cry a lot.

2. Yuyu Hakusho - Nothing gets me more pumped up than seeing Yusuke beat up a bunch of baddies. I get so entangled in the story I actaully have to flip ahead sometimes just to make sure the good guys win. Plus it's the only manga so far that's given me games to play with the pages. >-<

3. Fate/ Stay-Night - So far it's alright. But they call one character by two names, which is confusing me very much.

4. Fullmetal Alchemist - Although I am still a few volumes behind in the reading It's so much better than the anime, by so far. The characters you get to meet in the manga are just so much fun. I love Ling!

5. Petshop of Horrors: Toyko - Count D now has a petshop in Japan. And no Orcot to be seen. Still though it still has all it's great stories, and a few apperences by my T-chan. But...I miss Leon and his...amusing remarks.

6. Life - Probably the quickest read in my collection. The story draws you in. The main character just can't seem to come out on top, no matter how hard she trys, and you just have to keep reading to see her finally have a happy ending.

7. Vampire Knight - I have to say...this manga annoys me. Like so bad. I seriously want all the characters to be shot in the head. But...I have to finish it...maybe it'll get better. *crosses fingers*

8. Inu-Yasha - I love you Rumiko! But nothing is happening! The past few volumes have been nothing but filler. The only thing that keeps me excited about this manga is that we're getting close to the part where the anime cut out.

9. FairyCube - It's supposed to be a very short series, so things are happeneing at a quick pace, which is alright with me.

10. Hibiki's Magic - This manga....it's like...sugar coated cotton candy...Not really my type of manga...but some parts of it are really heart-touching.

11. Zombie-Loan - Well I'm enjoying it so far. I especially like the part where one of the male leads expresses how much he hates the other male lead, and goes on a rant about Yaoi being gross. Ah...Good times!

12. The Third - It's like an action version of Hibiki's magic....yup.

13. Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright - ....You go on being cute Pearl.

Ah...You know I think my manga obssession is a substitute for something important in my real life. Not sure what that is though.
And on a side note...35 series completed! Boo-yah! I'm trying to complete a series for every letter of the alphabet. So far I just need B, E, Q, and X. A few letters I counted as being completed, but technically they are just the collections i'm all up to date on...which are D, F, I, L, N, V, Y, and Z. So I only have half of the alphabet done... crying

Ah well. Maybe next time I won't go off on a manga rant again.

today's lesson: Ice is cold and Solid.
