Another Thanksgiving has come and went. This year a little better than the last. Mom made lamb. Which I'm not too big a fan off.
And despite all the hustle and bustle it looked like the store was going through I remained pretty bored. No a lot of things to do, and o course no one was really buying fish. sweatdrop
I'm begining to notice how bad the economy has gotten. It seems like people are getting laid-off left and right. And I'm still thankful for having a job, even if time's not on my side. They're slashing my hours a little at work, but to help me make up for them I lose a day off. So really it's the extras that are feeling the hurt. I probably won't be able to spend as much on X-mas as I had hoped.
More icing on the cake though. I found out my tire has a slow leak. Choopie said it was probably a bent rim, and for the life of me I couldn't think of any situation that would cause me to hit a curb with the back tire, on the driver's side. So I had a little free time yesterday I decided to see how the tre was holding up. And low-and-behold I found a screw wedged in my tire. sweatdrop
Anyways, the Thanksgiving here was alright. I got to see my cousins and I bought a game. Unfortunatly one of my cousins spilt somme coffee and it got on the game. I'm still hoping I can take the case in and replace it.
After that I went to have a thanksgiving with Gizmo, A-chan, Millie, Brittany, Will, Anthony, Jacob, Fifi, Racheal, and Heather. He had a really nice spread.
And yesterday I had some lunch with the family, and then met-up with Shinku and Sakura. I got to meet Lauren for the first time (and by-the-by I think she's really awesome. >-< wink and I got to see Alan again. I went to a Fresh and Easy for the first time. I think it's a pretty nifty little place, nothing like Whole Foods though. But still really nice. Alan made curry and I got to play Katamari for the first time. It was really fun. Lauren helped me get super huge! And Alan's curry was delicious. After that we watched Dogma. I really like that movie.
Lol. I've become a bit of a 'Clerks' fan-girl. So I'm trying to familiarize myself with Kevin Smith's works.
Afew other things have happened since my last update, one being the 'Twilight' movie. Let's just say after that movie I can now understand why Toilkein didn't want his books to become movies, and I have a better respect for him now.
Ah yes and X-mas is coming up. This is about the time of the year I post my cheat-sheet for you guys.
-But just to let you know money is good. Just the flat out cold hard cash. If I can wrangle enough to make a car payment that'd be pretty sweet.
-Also change. My coin jar is still only about half-full. So if you have some loose change burning a hole in your pocket, no matter how small the amount, trust me it'll make my day. You should see how stoked I get when Mi-ko gives me a nickle.
-Still trying to finish up Battle Athletes Victory. If you happen to stumble across volume three or five that'd be cool.
-I've also become aware that I need some new threads.
-And I'm still wishing for some thermal socks. >-<
-Oh! You know what I could really use though? A VCR. I know I have one in my room, but it doesn't work and there's a lot of hassle to get it out. But if you guys can find just a regular VCR, that'd be pretty nice.
-Then of course there's the random little things you guys might find that just scream 'Sonji!' to you.
-But also if you're still trying to figure something out. Fan-art of a character from Teal Tears would be cool. >-< I'm hoping to start the site up in January, depending on how my finances are. And it'd be nice to have some fan-art first thing.
But that's still up in the air. ^-^
Today's lesson: Coating a turkey with mayonaise before cooking it helps lock in the juices.
