EVIL WAYS
Amy
Dah dun, dah dun, dadundadundah dah... I just hear the detective tune playing in my head as I approach Soph. She's fuming, I can tell. Wait, she's not alone.
"Goddamn it Lance!" She shouts and slams her locker. "I told you, you kissed her. Don't say you didn't do anything." She storms off. Goddamn it Lance. Now I have to chase her, and she'll probably yell at me. I run and eventually catch up.
"Soph, whats wrong?" I ask, playing innocent.
"Lance." She replies. She stiffens ever so slightly. "I can't believe him."
Perfect. "What'd he do now?"
"He asked me what he did to make me so mad at him. He knows that it was kissing yo-" She trails off. "Did you really kiss him?"
Innocence, damn it. Innocence. "No, I would never do that to you Soph." I say in the most sincerity possible. She fell for it. I saw her loosen a little, and she gave me a hug. The sweet scent of her coconut shampoo drives me wild.
"Thank you Amy. I know you wouldn't lie." She says. She pulls away.
"That's what best friends are for." I say. It's nearly impossible to keep from smirking at the perfection of my plan falling into place.
"I'm glad I have you here for me. It seems like I'm alone lately." She smiles. "I'm glad that I'm wrong."
"I'm glad too." I feel like a villain, determined to do whatever it takes to get to my goal. Yet somehow, the hero hasn't come to vanquish me yet. And he never will, because the princess doesn't want him anymore.
So long Lance.
I hope this rips you in two, seeing the girl of your sweetest fantasies with me.
I grab her hand; in a friendly way; and we walk to the bus.
Sweet, sweet badness. They say more than what is spoken,
Promises always get broken.
