Ximly was nearly to the black car when Tom let out a shout, and Ximly turned to see a white and red blur skidding to the side as Calon came to a stop. The creature looked at Ximly with a horrified look. Where was her human going? Why did she have the tomes with her? Why wasn’t her rider taking her with her?

Ximly felt a sudden lump in her throat rise as she looked at Calon. “I-I’m sorry girl….” She said quietly, giving the drome on last pat on the head, ruffling her feathers affectionately. “I can’t go riding with you for a while….”

Calon looked confused, why? What would keep her rider from her?

Ximly shook her head, “I’m so sorry girl…” She said as she shook her head, “Behave for Rika, and stick close to her no matter what. That’s an order.”

Calon gave a nod, and watched as Ximly got into the car and closed the door, her face disappearing behind the tinted window.

Ximly let out a deep shaky sigh as she looked forward at the driver, “Where are you taking me?”

“A city far from here. On the outskirts of Barton.” The driver replied shortly. “Your orders are simple, You are to have no contact with any mythical creatures of any kind, what so ever.”

Ximly seemed to pale. “And if I do?”

“You will be removed from the society, and placed within an isolated quarantine. “

Ximly seemed to gasp, and she had brought her tome owls with her…. Whoops. Oh well, they’d stay hidden. She’d make sure of that. “Do I already have a place?”

“Yes. Apartment number three, you’ve the entire building to yourself.” The driver said, pulling out of the driveway before turning around to start out of the Haven and onto the highway. “You’ll find everything you need there….”

Ximly gave a curt nod as she turned around in her seat to watch her hard work grow smaller as they gained distance from it. She gave a deep sigh as she watched the center disappear as they drove into the forest surrounding it, and soon onto the highway. Once it was gone, she faced the front with a sigh, “Do I at least get my books?”

“Aye.”

“Thank god.”
