So, remember that guy I was talking about? The guy from the Christmas party?
Well, I was at the Wal-Mart in the town he lives in, which is like 30 minutes away, not a long drive, but we just don't go there frequently. Anyways, I had gone to the Wal-Mart after I'd gotten my hair cut because I needed to get something for Student Council. I was with my grandma, at the time, because I needed directions.
We walked into Wal-Mart, and there in line was the guy and his mom. We say hi(all of us except the Dusty/Dustin, that is. Curse his shyness!) and then me and my grandma go off to shop. I thought he was at the checkout line, so I was texting my friend Rachel saying "arg, I just saw that guy, and I didn't even say anything." But then they passed us(they'd been in the return line) but I still didn't say anything, and though I vowed to wink at him or something, I didn't see him again. So, dang.
But then I was like, wait, I know his name(I think)! So, I was like, I'll search for him on Myspace and Facebook! I was so dang proud of myself for coming up with that idea. But, I searched for him and never found him. I thought he was the type not to have a Myspace. Stupid private schools, encouraging their students to do homework instead of mindlessly chat with friends online.
Anyways, I'm probably gonna stake out Wal-Mart and wait 'til I see him again. My grandma says she sees the family at H-E-B alot.
I'm just surprised I saw them so soon after the Christmas party. This is the first(or second, I think they visited us for a minute one Christmas to chat with my aunt) time I've seen them more than once a year, and so soon after the party.
Do you think it's fate?
I shoulda said something! I was calling myself a loser the whole way home, but, I've decided. I'm not a loser. I'm just...unopportunistic. Or something.
We had another game last night. We were in the semi-finals. We lost though. I'm really sad, but I'm also so, so proud of the football guys. They got farther than we ever expected them to. They were wonderful. And maybe next year we'll make it to state. We got to the quarter-finals last year, so we're just progressing every year.
