As I have to write down what I did for my practicum, and of course am procrastinating it...

Yesterday I moved books from the second floor to the first floor and listened to people measure and debate about how things are going to fit where. It's kind of awkward because we have a limited number of bookcarts, and also because we have to take books off the fronts and backs of shelves so that they can dismantle the shelving units and move them downstairs so that the books can be put back on them, except they are reorganizing it differently so the books on the back no longer go on that shelf. And to make things more complicated, only the back "frieght" elevator works. The front one overheats. So we have to weave unwieldy carts full of books through the office space. Le sigh. Lots of heavy lifting. I also assisted with the non-fiction new-book display and moved some YA books. Huzzah! Oh, and gave the children's librarian her lunch break, during which I wrote AR information in the backs of books.

And today it was back to my day job, doing price changes on video games. My manager has hired two new people. I only worked with one of them, and I am not sure I am going to like her. But ah well. At least she doesn't smell, as some of my coworkers do...
