So yesterday at work, we had a "Super Bowl" event. I, as the only member of the "pricing and promotions" crew that was working yesterday, and the Elite ladies, gave out stuff. Specifically, the Elite ladies cooked lots of food samples and gave out those and recipes and coupons and 3-D glasses, and I gave out cheap looking flags and pens. Rah. At the end of the event, we still had a few recipe booklets and glasses left, so I put those back in the break room, as they were told to throw all extras away.
Today I get paged by the service people because customers have heard an ad stating that my store was giving away 3-D glasses TODAY. (I guess some part of the Super Bowl is going to be in 3-D.) I explained to them that the Elite people were handing them out at the event yesterday, that they were told to hand them ALL out yesterday, and that there had been a few extras which I had placed in the break room and which were now gone. I ended up talking to the Pepsi vendor, as it was his company that was giving them away in the first place, and he said that his company had talked to my company and that they didn't want a shipper of them. So even though it was advertised, we had no glasses. AND YET PEOPLE KEPT PAGING ME ABOUT THEM. Stupid glasses.
My mom got an exercise machine thingy that my dad and I put together tonight. That's the excitement here.
