A friend of mine wrote this shortly after his nine year old brother funeral.

One for the hustle, two for the flow, three is the guys that were waiting behind my door, four is the bullets they put in my chest, five is the years that those motherf***ers did. And on the first day they're out what's the first thing they see, me and my little brother walking down the street. So they walk up behind us and to take there revenge...they shoot my little brother in the back of the head. So he's bleeding on the floor and they leave me for dead after taking a couple popshots into the left side of my chest. So what's the price that we pay to be the land of the free, was it the life of my little brother joe? cause if thats all it cost then we kinda over paid, cause we're still paying this price every single day. But it doesn't just happen in the towns far away, but on your street and in the parks where your kids gotta play. so let's ask ourself one question, what's this path that we're pavin cause we're trippin if we think that it's some sort of haven. the pathway to heaven is the pathway through god. Redemption is what we should be looking for...cause everything else is just another con.
