What do you do when you're trapped between 2 people,
Who used to be friends,
But now won't even talk,
You hear different sides of the story,
You know neither one is right,
What do you do when you're caught in a mess,
That you didn't get yourself into,
But you can't get yourself out,
You're in trouble for something you didn't do,
But explaining what really happened,
Would cause more drama than you need.
What do you when the world comes crashing down on you,
Youth group is no longer satisfying,
Feels like God is farther away each day,
You feel like you're alone in this world,
The world is waiting for you to fall,
Waiting for you to make a mistake,
And every time you fall they laugh at you.
This is what you do,
You keep hoping,
You keep believing,
You keep seeking His face,
You keep trusting,
You keep knowing,
You keep knocking on the door till He answers.
You know He is faithful,
You know He will never leave,
But so often we forget that He is God,
Not us,
He is in control,
Not us,
We have to follow Him,
And trust He won't lead us astray,
What do you do when the current pulls you under,
And you can't swim anymore,
When the storms have knocked you to your knees,
The tears fall down,
The pain inside is eating you alive,
You look up to heaven,
But no one's there,
It's cause He's right here,
He's holding you.
What do you do when you're filled with joy,
Yet everyone around seems so depressed,
And hopeless, they've given up,
What do you do?
You trust that God is still God,
He is still in control,
He never left His throne,
He sees everything you see,
Hears everything you hear,
Feels everything you feel,
Just like a Father,
He guides, He leads, He points out the path,
Just like a Husband,
He's jealous, He's in love with you,
You're the most beautiful thing in the world to Him,
Just like a Mother,
He loves, He holds, He comforts,
Just like a Brother,
He protects you, Has people looking out for you,
Just like a Sister,
He's always there to talk to, He'll always listen,
Just like a Best Friend,
He'll encourage, He'll lift you up, He'll give you strength,
Just keep trusting in Him.
When your situation seems impossible,
Remember the impossible God who created you,
He's done so many miracles already,
So why not keep trusting?
Just be still and know that He is God,
Let him speak to you new words,
Your soul needs to hear,
Just lift your eyes up to heaven,
And know He's there,
He cares, and He's listening to you,
He's watching you,
He loves you.
