Storming up to the front door, Ed looked at the fancy brass doorknob, polished so that he could actually see a blurred image of his own reflection in it.

Well, no.

It would actually be more accurate to say that he was looking up at the doorknob rather than face to face with it.

But he'd rather die than admit to anyone that he was too short to reach it, even though it was simply the plain truth.

Anyone... And especially that damned Roy Mustang.

Before Ed could even think about kicking his way for an entry, the door swung wide open.

There stood Mustang, holding the door opened and smiling at Ed.

"Ah. Fullmetal. I'm glad to see that you could make it. I heard your arrival. I do wonder how you accomplish anything, with the way you make your presence known just by walking."

"SHUT IT. What the he-"

"Come inside. We'll talk in there." He interrupted, gesturing for him to enter.
