Looking around

But I wake up in bed and I look up

He held out his hand
And then he said,

Yeah, I think I found my way home

Breathing, loud and uncontrolled
And yet, there’s nothing but silence
Seeing, painful pictures of suffering and tears

The Bird of Sorrow, perched upon my window
She cries out at me in pain
Painting the picture of deafening flames on my soul
