Sun held his new daughter, a proud smile on his face. "she's beautiful!" he said to his wife, who sat in a chair by the fire, a blanket around her shoulders. "What shall we name her?" his wife stared into the flames. "bring her to me." Sun walked up to the big chair and gently placed the infant in Selene's arms. She looked doen at the girl and smiled. "she is beautiful! oh!" she exclaimed as the child opened her ayes. "such beautiful eyes! the red color is amazing! oh, she has the maverick gene. just like her sister." Elise stood behind the doorway, peeking out from behind the door. she was curious about this new addition to the family, and why her parents wouldn't stop cooing over it. Her younger brother, Sky, who didnt have the maverick gene, sat beside the fire place. even though he didnt have the maverick gene, he had the strange red eyes his father had, but the silky black hair of his mother. he got up and peaked at the infant in his mother's arms. some purple strands curled on her small fore-head. purple the color of their father's hair. one glance at this new baby, and Sky knew. he would be her guardian angel. forever. "right. her name." Selene said, bringing themselves back on topic. she gazed back at the baby. "Micah." Sky whispered. "micah is her name." his mother said. "she will be known as the night of the mavericks." Elise glared at her mother. the night? not fair. she was the dream, and everyone knew that the night was ruler of dreams. Elise would not let this pusilanimous newborn be the boss of her.
