Sky stared at his work as he fixed the sadle on his horse. He didnt want to leave. He couldnt leave Micah all alone. His father walked up. "alright." he said. "we are ready to go." Star slid onto his horse. Selene walked up, supported by Elise. selene had grown ill the past year, and it was becoming difficult for her to walk. "Sel," star said as he touched her cheek. "take care. please rest. let eli take care of you." he gave her a worry-filled look and kissed her goodbye. Micah came running down the dirt road and embracedher father. she flung herself at sky and started to sob, causing Sky to weep even more.
"please, father!' she cried in her small voice. "please dont make him go!" after a while, Sky pushed her away a little, and looked her in the eyes. "Micah." he said seriously, "i love you. and i promise. i will come back for you. no matter what." he climbed onto the black horse behind him, and his father and he rode away into the country.
"Nii-san!" Micah called out to her brother, and he turned his head away, tears dripping down his face.
