Act Five: Evening, Taylor, Part Three

[WARNING: Alright I know this is going to be EXTREMELY mushy and tacky, but whatever....]

Gerard and Taylor stopped at about 10 feet away from her front porch. Taylor handed Annabelle the keys, Anna ran up to the house and let herself in. Things fell silent between them again, kind of awkward.

"Well, I should be going. I bet my Grandfather is now the one looking for me." Gerard said with a slight chuckle.

"Yeah, and my little sister is waiting up for me anyways." Taylor said with some nervousness, begining to stare at the graveled asphalt beneath her tattered Converse.

"I, um, hope to see you again." Gerard said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, me too." She smiled, and he smiled too. Taylor turned, taking about three to five steps towards the porch. A thought ran through her head, making her turn around and to her surprise, Gerard was still standing there, watching her with his gorgeous hazel eyes. She was about to call out to him, but instead, she blushed and faced him with her icy blues.

"Oh, you again, eh?" He said teasingly.

"Yeah it's me again." Taylor laughed. She pulled a black sharpie out from one of her pockets and positioned herself in front of him again. Without a word, she took his stone cold hand and wrote her phone number on it. Taylor peeked up at Gerard, only to see a smirk drawn across his face.

"Call me sometime." Her heart pounded in her chest, she was surprised she said it with such confidence, not a hint of her nervousness fell from her. And in a flash, she felt Gerard’s right hand holding the back of her head and his left hand positioned on the small of her back. Their lips met in an instant, cradling together.

And for a moment when they kissed, Taylor felt as if their hearts were connected. As if their hearts beated out of their chests and intertwined and tangled into one and other.

"Wow," Taylor thought as soon as they disconnected from each other. Her heart fluttered in her chest, wanting more, wanting to be connected to his heart again.

"I'll call soon." Gerard said, pecking her cheek. He let her go and stalked off back into the cemetery. Taylor watched him until he became nothing but a silhouette in the murky, jet black, darkness.
