Act Six: Memorable Mornings, Part One

Taylor awoke the next day, feeling the warmth of the sunlight on her pale skin. Remembering all that had taken place the night before. “Gerard,” She whispered in a day-dreamy state, pressing her head against the pillow as she hugged it, with a smile. She opened her eyes, just enough so everything was blurred, letting the colors mix in with each other. The pouring light was more of a swirl than a strand, and the dust became visible as it floated in and out of the glows.

Pulling her covers up to her neck, Taylor rolled unto her opposite side, and opened up her eyes. Her room was golden now, it always was this time of morning. Just after the sun came up, and a few minutes before it rose over the surrounding hills, It shown gold.
Taylor leaned on her arm, and pushed herself up, to lean up against her wall, as she sat on her bed. She pulled her knees into her chest, and rest her head on them.

Taylor settled herself, thinking of things… the school work she hadn’t done, that was due today, what time she should start getting dressed, but mostly, him. She felt so stupid, and girly obsessing of a boy like that, but she couldn’t get him out of her head. Sighing to herself, Taylor climbed out of her bed, and slipped out of her doorway.

The hall was dark, and cramped. Taylor always felt a little uneasy walking down it alone, but, she managed. With each step, the dusty wood floor creaked under her. She walked up to Annabelle’s door, and tried to open the door without creating a horrible screeching noise. Her attempt failed once again, as she rolled her eyes to herself,
“Anna, its time to get up,” Taylor called as she leaned against the door, with her hand still resting on the knob.
Annabelle, pretending to be asleep, rolled on her other side, turning away from Taylor.

An extended “Anna,” came from Taylor, and she took a step closer, “Anna, did you not hear me?” Taylor said almost laughing, and Annabelle trying her best to hold back a smile.
Taylor sat on the edge of Annabelle’s bed, and shook her a little, “Anna,” she called again, just before Taylor started tickling her.

Anna squirmed and kicked under her fluffy blankets, and finally couldn’t help but laugh as Taylor continued to tickle her.
Both of them sitting up now, and their laughing calming down, Taylor, brushed back a few strands of Annabelle’s hair, and smiled at her. Anna smiled back and slipped out, from under her covers, pulling Taylor, downstairs, behind her.
