There's something cold and blank
behind her smile
She's standing on an overpass
Waiting, another mile
You were from a perfect world
that threw away,
A Perfect Girl.
Flawlessly Flawed,
In herself,
But she was born,
as somebody else.
A pill to make you numb
A pill to take you back
To the world you're from,
and cause a heart-attack.
Muscle spasms, seizures.
They can be treated and dealt.
But all the bandages in this world
Won't save her from herself
Her mouth was empty, wrists cut
And she was waiting to fall,
Eyes closed, steady, ready to jump
Back to her world, as it calls.
