y to go.
---
She didn't look at him.
"Go away." she said again. "Alright Injigo, show me where it is, I'll be watching you all today." Kiya smiled toward them, hoping she could keep an eye on all of them.
~~~~
"Why should I? I've said nothing offensive." Hiei argued.
"Okay!" Injigo said. To get there, the kids played follow the leader. Injigo was the best at keeping the game fun, so he was voted leader more often. He liked to do things that got everyone playing, so no one minded.
---
She stood up and approached him.
"Just leave okay!?" she demanded. "Your not here to ask questions, your' just here to watch over Kiya. Now leave me alone!"
Her eyes glimmered, threatening tears.
Kiya had fun following the children, carrying one every once in awhile who was too small to follow the whole way.
~~~~~~
"Fine, but forgive me for trying to get to know you better, your majesty." Hiei shot back and left the caravan, slamming the door afterward. He jumped up into a tree so he could cool down.
The orchard was beautiful. Appletrees grew everywhere, producing blossoms. Sometimes, petals or whole flowers fell from the trees. The Grass was soft, and there were rabbits hopping about. The kids started to play an odd game, simmilar to tag. One person would run and try to tap the others, if someone was tapped they froze like a tree and stood there with their arms out. If the one who was 'it' could wait for someone to try and free the dryad and then tag the one who tried, or run off after others.
---
She gave a cry of frustration and hurled a bottle of wine at the door after him. But it smashed against the closed door. She sat on her bed, somewhat glad he closed the door in time.
Kiya quietly sat on a rock in the shade as she watched all the children, their game reminding her of freeze tag. She quietly laughed at the kids who didn't necessarily get the point of the game
~~~
Hiei heard the smash of the bottle behind the door and snorted in his tree.
"Come play with us Kiya!" Injigo insisted.
---
"Why so cruel?" A voice asked. In the tree was a bird, white feathers and red eyes. It cocked it's head to look at Hiei. Kiya stood and laughed. "I'm afraid I'm not very good at running, but I'll play." Kiya smiled toward the lad.
~~~
Hiei glanced at the bird and then closed his eyes. "I am not. If I wanted to be I would have said things which will not be spoken." he replied toward the bird.
It didn't matter if Kiya was good at running or not, the air smelled like fresh apple pie, the ground was soft, even if one fell, and the coolest breeze cooled them off while the sun warmed their skin.
---
"So, bringing the past she ran away from and putting it before her the body of a dead child isn't cruel to you?" the bird asked. It ruffled it's feathers indignantly. "Fool."
"I did nothing of the sort." Hiei replied with a growl toward the bird, about to take out his katana and swing at it.
~~~~
"OKay w-who is 'it'?" Kiya asked him.
"Oh- you now!" Injigo said tapping her on the hip, the children laughed and ran off, not straying too far into the forest.
---
The bird lifted it's head bacl and spoke in Hiei's voice.
"Sorry for trying to get to know you better... your majesty." it said. It ruffled it's feathers again and spoke in it's own voice. "Is your heart so cold?"
"It has a reason to be." Hiei retorted toward the bird, sitting up and turning to look at it.
~~~
"Oh dear." Kiya sighed and then went after the children, she managing to catch a few, but then they'd be 'unfrozen' or whatever it was called in this game.
To make things fair on Kiya, Injigo encouraged the other kids to work less like a team. That way, Kiya managed to get them all, and they switched who was 'it'. Once everyone was frozen they scattered and whoever she touched would be it for the next round.
---
"Then maybe you are best qualified to understand." the bird said. Then it burst into hundreds upon hundreds of white butterflies.
Hiei blinked. Well that was the oddes things he had seen in awhile. H scratched the back of his head and looked back to the caravan where the girl was. He frowned. Why should he apologize? She wanted nothing to do with him, and he was going to respect those wishes.
~~~~~
Kiya, oblivious to th fact that the children were going easy on her, had decided to tag Kuro's little sister.
Suki giggled and the game restarted. Injigo seemed much less inclined to run, she was tagging him alot. So finally after a few hours everyone was tired and they decided to head back to camp. The blacksmith was cooking tonight.
Kiya was worn out and was hungry. When looking over to Kuro, it seemed as if she was unhappy and same with Hiei.
Suki made it hard for Kuro to stay upset, finally she gave in and smiled. When dishing the food out, Suki served it.
"What's wrong?" she asked Hiei when she brought him a plate.
"Your sister, that's what is wrong." Hiei muttered toward her.
She cocked her head to the side.
"Did you have a fight?" she asked.
---
The twins appeared on either side of Kiya, greeting her with a kiss on each cheek in perfect sync.
"How was the orchard?" they asked.
"To some degree, yes. She threw a wine bottle at me." she replied to the little girl.
~~~~~~~~~~
Kiya smiled toward them. "I-it was fun. The children have me worn out though. And how are you two?" she asked them politely.
"We've been in the watchtowers, waiting for news of your beloved." Kin said.
"Nothing yet, which is a good thing, as they are only to come back early if there is trouble." Gin added.
---
"What did you do to make her angry?" Suki asked.
"Ah, I see. T-thank you for watching." she replied toward the two, she finishing off her food. She then began to fiddle with the mirror Kurama had gotten for her, and she looked back to the twins.
~~~
"I simply asked her why it was that she stayed here." Hiei began and then went on," And then afterward she retorted that it was better than alot of the other places and it went from there."
"Actually, I'm not sure if you knew this, but we owe a debt to your Kurama." Gin told Kiya.
"Yes indeed, a great debt. I doubt he even knows it." Kin added with a smile.
---
Suki was about to say something, but Yuki appeared.
"Go get something to eat." he told her. She nodded and left, Yuki sat on the branch with Hiei. "Why so interested in our Kuro?" he asked him.
Kiya tilted her head to the side. "Really?" she asked.
~~~
"What? Why would I have interest in something like that." Hiei frowned toward Yuki.
"Saved our skins, back in his bandit days." Kin told her.
"Our father wanted girls you know." Gin began.
"But when we turned out to be boys, he realized he could use us anyway. Rather than marying us off, he made us into his prostitutes." Kin said.
"He got rich, and Youko came to steal a very valuable mirror our father had obtained as a payment of our services. When he was caught by our father, the demon bandit slit his throat." Gin finished.
---
"You tell me." Yuki replied to him. "Your the one asking alot of questions." His line of sight went down to the caravan, the door was open and Kuro stepped out with the water kettle. "Why don't you go with her to the creek? Settle your differences. She's a good ally to have you know."
"W-wow." was all Kiya said and frowned. What a horrible father, she thought to herself and then looked back at them.
"I-I've sort of been wondering, are Youko and Shuichi the same? Or are they two different people?" she asked the twins.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Hiei rolled his eyes at Yuki's reply. He stood and quietly went to her. "Going to the creek?" he asked her.
They thought for a minute.
"Yuki said he was born from a human woman." Gin said.
"Did he tell you of how he got there?" Kin asked Kiya thought for a moment her head tilted to the side, she thinking through the women she knew. "B-botan?" she guessed, not ever actually meeting the woman, had heard about her here and there.
~~~
"And now you are just Kuro, is that what you are trying to convey?" Hiei asked him, glancing to her and the looking off in the distance.
The twins laughed, as if such a thing was silly.
"You really-" Kin began.
"Don't know?" Gin finished.
---
"I'm not trying to convey anything... Just kuro, that is what I am now. Just like before that pig came around, but this time I'm not just some sheep-farmers daughter with submissive genes." she corrected him. The kettle was full, so she stood and sealed the spout with the cork.
Kiya shook her head a clueless look on her face. "I-I've no idea, really." she replied toward the two.
~~~~
Hiei nodded slightly toward her and looked at the water. "I see." was all he said, his hands in his pockets.
They laughed again.
"You silly!" Kin said.
"The lover strong enough not be at risk around him!" Gin explained.
---
"Have you any more questions then?" she asked hoping to end his curiosity. She couldn't have him asking any more questions, in case her sister heard.
Kiya blinked, a smile creeping on her face. "R-really? I don't know a-about that. It seems as if he has to save me...more often than not." she replied looking to the ground.
~~~
"Not at the moment, no." Hiei replied and walked with her back to the camp.
"Perhaps..." Kin said.
"But you are not helpless..." Gin continued.
"You are not a target of lesser demons, you can fight." Kin finished.
---
"Then I would prefer if you have one, not to ask so publically." Kuro told Hiei.
---
Kuro's face went red when Hiei appeared, still embarrased by her behavior earlier.
"Yes." she said stiffly as she walked.
"Y-yes he did. Although I've also heard rumors of how Youko was, I can't help but think that they're different people." Kiya spoke for a moment and thinking.
~~~~
"May I accompany you?" Hiei asked a slight pinkness to his cheeks when he did, he feeling a tad bit embarrassed.
"They are the same person." Kin told her.
"But they are different." Gin replied.
"You see, Youko was cruel, because he knew only cruelty. But your Kurama is kind, because he was showed kindness." Kin explained.
"He could have gone back to his old life, but he didn't. Three women encouraged him to be human, and be happy." Gin said.
"Do you know who those three are?" Kin asked her.
---
Kuro relaxed a little.
"If that is what you wish." she said to him. The creek wasn't far, maybe about 19-25 kilometers away from camp. There were no fish in this stream, and it was a rock base, so it was crystal clear. She filled the kettle up at the waters edge. After several moments of silence she spoke.
"I'm sorry."
Kiya listened quietly, she getting a little confused. She'd just have to ask Kurama about it later. When she heard about the three women, she shook her head. "No, I've no idea." Kiya replied.
~~~
Hiei's head perked up at her apology and he remained quiet. HE thought for a minute and then looked back to the girl.
"As am I." he replied.
"The first was his mother... who raised him with love despite the troubles and hardships he brought." kin said.
"The second was his first love, a human girl who in blissful ignorance, fell in love with a monster. He could never be with her, so he used a sacred flower to erase her memories and feelings she had for him." Gin said. They looked at her and smiled, speaking together this time.
"And who do you think is the third?"
---
Kuro looked around making sure nho one was nearbye.
"You're guesses were half right." she admitted. "I am not the lost queen.... but I was, a long time ago I was." she wouldn't look at him, but somehow it felt good to tell him.
Kiya thought for a moment her head tilted to the side, she thinking through the women she knew. "B-botan?" she guessed, not ever actually meeting the woman, had heard about her here and there.
~~~
"And now you are just Kuro, is that what you are trying to convey?" Hiei asked him, glancing to her and the looking off in the distance.
Hiei nodded slightly toward her and looked at the water. "I see." was all he said, his hands in his pockets.
"You are not a target of lesser demons, you can fight." Kin finished.
---
"Then I would prefer if you have one, not to ask so publically." Kuro told Hiei.
Kiya nodded and smiled toward the two. "Ah, I see." she blushed slightly, already wanting him to come back to her. Since he was now her only family, she worried about him even more. If he was killed- she paused at the thought, mentally shaking it off.
~~~
Hiei looked to the little girl, her sister, and then back to Kuro. "Is she why?" he asked her.
The twins stayed with Kiya most of the night, talking and keeping her company.
---
"I thought you had no further questions?" she said smugly. She went back into her caravan. She had cleaned up the wine and glass, but the stains were still there.
The next morning Kiya would awaken on the top bunk of the grey caravan. The twins slept on the bottom, nude and cuddling. It was a sweet sight... not unlike a loving couple.
Outside a smell was in the air, freshly baked corn bread. The blacksmith had cooked it for breakfast, lots of it, and he had jars of jam and honey to go with it. Fresh cut apples and caramel, and some kind of bacon that wasn't as greasy or fattie as bacon; more like turkey bacon. Kuro ate with Suki.
Kiya scrunched her nose slightly at the sight, but said nothing. SLowly, she attempted to climb out of the bunk, but fell down it instead. She lightly laughed at herself and dusted herself off. "Good morning you two." she greeted them, her back turned toward them so she couldn't see anything.
~~~
Hiei awoke and decided that he needed to bathe. He ran his fingers through his hair and first decided to join the others for breakfast and then he would inquire about a spring.
Gin awoke with a start, but Kin seemed to have been awake already and dozing.
"Oh! Kiya, are you hurt?" Gin asked when he realized she fell. He got out of bed, he had been wearing some kind of cloth undergarment, as had his brother, so she wouldn't get any nasty surprises. "Kin wake-up."
"Nm..." Kin muttered rolling over to go back to sleep. Gin pulled the sheet under him and dragged him off the bed. Kin got up.
---
"Goodmorning!" Suki greeted Hiei with a smile.
Kiya shook her head. "No I'm good, sorry for waking you." she replied toward the both of them. She stretched up and yawned, covering her mouth as she did.
~~~
Hiei closed his eyes for a moment and heard the girl. He frowned slightly, for just a moment and nodded toward her. "Morning." he replied toward her.
"Do I smell fresh bread?" Kin asked. The twins looked at one another and pulled on their tunic's, unable to get out of the caravan fast enough.
"Would you like honey or jam?" Suki asked Hiei offering two thick peices of fresh bread to him.
Kiya followed after them, not quite as quickly, but she was pretty hungry.
Hiei looked at both and then replied," Honey, please."
Kuro handed him a jar of honey, a beautiful bold transparent yellow. This was real honey too, from wild bees. It had been filtered well, so it was clean, and it tasted magnificent.
"Kiya! Come sit with us!" Suki called when she saw the other girl.
Kiya slowly made her way to the group and waved toward them. "Good morning." she greeted them all and sat with them.
Hiei rolled his eyes when the girl came over to sit with them.
"Do you wanna come brush the sheep with us today? Yuki said you did such a good job with us in the orchard that he would trust you to do it again." Suki asked. Kuro smiled at her sister... she had to help in the camp today, they were finishing building another caravan and she was asked to paint it. Kiya went with the children, as well as the woman who wove clothing and her son. 'Brushing the sheep' was only part of what it was.
They woukd gather a flock of wild rams, the males seemed to not care of their presence and actions, so they were docile and cooperative. The gypsies would brush the hseeps wool out, removing twigs and such. Then they would shear their wool, gather it in sacks and load it onto a cart. They checked the hooves and cleaned out any rocks that might be harming them, and fed them all special oats.
---
Meanwhile, at the camp they just finished dusting off the caravan, cleaning the sawdust from the inside, and sanding it down. Kuro was in charge of painting, the twins helped her. It was going to be a vibrant red color, and a gold trim on the outside. The inside would be a more neutral orange. It was the same as her caravan, but the wood was ash instead of cypress. Kuro worked on painting green to the outside of the left wall.
Kiya attempted to help with this work, but it seemed as if she was of no use for this task since she at several times was jumped on and bit by one of the the sheep. She instead watched the children, making sure that they were all there.
~~~~
Hiei, after napping went to go help with the caravan and when he had done enough work he asked," Are there any springs near by?"
The kids were alot better handling the sheep, and the work was half done, so they stopped for lunch. Cheddar cheese, bread and some kind of fish meat from a can.
---
"What kind, for a bath or for a drink?" she asked finishing the last bit of paint.
Kiya ate the cheddar cheese and the bread, but not the fish, she not being fond of seafood.
~~~~
"A bath." he replied quietly.
They got back to work on shearing the sheep. They had enough for everyone to take at least one bag, and headed back to camp.
---
"I need one myself, I'll show you to the one the guys use." She said finishing up. She grabbed some towels from the caravan and had him follow her.
Kiya decided to haul to bags and then carry the children, the younger ones mainly, who were tired on her summon spirit Vulpurius, a large fox like creature, on its back.
~~~~
"Thank you." he replied.
The mens spring was the same one as the womens, but the two were seperated by a large rock formation where the water ran down. It was a hotspring, a sedimentary rock base so it was clean rather than muddy.
---
Finally they returned to the camp. Some of the elders were the ones who helped best with treating the wool and turning it into yarn. The kids were allowed to play until dinner now.
Hiei went to the men's side and undressed himself, not caring who was there really. He afterward got into the springs and relaxed himself.
~~~
"Papapa!" Kiya randomly said her eyes on the children.
((I'm confused by what Kiya said XD))
Yuki sat beside Hiei.
"It seems you've made your peace with Kuro?" he asked.
---
They played frizbee with a wooden disc. One child would throw it, the others run after it. Whoever touched it would get to toss it again. Again, Injigo made sure everyone got to throw.
((She was just being random ))
"It would appear so." Hiei replied his eyes on the man and he looking up at the sky.
~~~
Kiya watched the children play this time, she not being very fond of the game of frizbee, only because of a gym teacher who at one time only made them play frisbee.
"You know... you are always welcome here." Yuki told him.
---
Finally it was dinnertime... the twins were made to cook this time.
"Thanks, but I'd prefer to be alone." Hiei replied washing the rest of himself and drying himself off in time for dinner, he wrapping the towel around his waist. In truth, he would be here at the moment if he didn't have to, but he owed Kurama several favors.
~~~
"Food!" Kiya smiled happily.
Beans and sausage, it filled the air with a spicy smell. Suki was, once again, handing bowls and bread to everyone.
Kuro was in the Caravan, brushing out her wet hair, her own towel around her.
Hiei went to get his clothes and he got dressed. He went back to the caravan to get his sword, which he had left there and accidentally walked in on a hair brushing Kuro.
"You've already seen the scars, do we really need to do this again?" Kuro asked continuing to brush her hair calmly. Even though he had seen the scars already, she crossed her legs uncomfortably.
---
When everyone was eating, the twins sat down with Kiya.
"He's made it past the guardian of the mountain roads." Kin told her.
"Took the beast down easily. Not a single scratch on him." Gin added.
Hiei blushed lightly ou of embarrassment his eyes going to the ceiling. "No, I was just acquiring my katana." he replied reaching for it and revealing the bandage that went up his right arm.
~~~
Kiya smiled. "R-really? That's great!" she replied, somewhat happy for him, but still worried about what else was to come for her beloved.
She kicked something causing a tin to drop from the shelf, closing the door when it hit.
She stood and held the towel in place.
"Tell me about your scars." she said. "The ones under those bandages."
---
"Come with us to the watchtowers tommorrow and you can watch with us." Gin said.
"We'll show you how we moniter him." Kin added. Hiei watched the door close and looked back at her. He blinked and chuckled," You mean this?" He raised his arm, and took off the jacket thing he wore, he having his black shirt with the sleeves ripped off, pants with the white belts holding them up. He kept his arm raised. "It's not a scar." he chuckled slightly, black aura going around his arm when he took off the bandage, a black dragon tattoo-like thing that wrapped around his arm. ~~~
"Okay, I will." Kiya smiled toward the two.
She stared at it.
"I heard tales of the eastern dragon..." she said. "The power could rival the north, the west and the south. It is all that remains of the four black fires of the demon world."
Hiei nodded slightly and pointed to his forehead. "Yes but, I had to go through some excruciatingly painful surgeries to obtain it." Hiei explained, and removed the bandana from his forehead to reveal his third eye.
"What a beautiful color." she said. She stepped forward and moved his bangs away to get a better look at it. "How did you ever manage to get that?"
"I had it surgically implanted when I was younger." he explained, looking at the girl. He got a weird feeling since she was so close to his face.
"Are the stories true? Or is it possible to feel a greater pain?" she asked.
He paused for a moment, and thought. "After the surgery, it felt as if I would die, my whole body feeling as if it was on fire. Although, I think it depends on the pain at the time. Each time one is hurt greatly, I think the mind thinks that that is the worse pain." He paused looking at the ground, the surgery replaying in his mind," But when I recall the surgery, it seems as if the pain goes away."
She had him look away while she pulled on her night dress. She poured a glass of wine for him, and one for herself.
"Why did you get it?" she asked. Hiei took the wine and sat back on the bed, his katana resting beside him. "Power." he replied looking toward her, half lying.
She chuckled taking a sip.
"Bull." she said. "You don't need more power. Tell me the truth."
Hiei paused for a moment and looked over at her, and raised an eyebrow, he taking a sip. "And what makes you say that I'm not?" he asked her, his expression indifferent.
((Oh sorry, i lost the PM in my millions of hate letters XD))
She rested a hand on her hip and cocked her head to the side giving him a 'are you seriouse?' look before pointing to the dragon on his arm.
Hiei frowned slightly. "And what if there was another reason, why should I tell you?" he replied and took a gulp of his wine.
"You have something on me." she said indicating her legs, and by association, her scars. "I want something on you, to make sure you don't gab."
Hiei looked to her legs and didn't want to tell her. At the moment he was faced with three options: one, tell her, two say nothing and face her wrath, and three, scare the crap out of her. He frowned slightly.
"I barely speak to my acquaintances, and that worthless woman," he was referring to Kiya," Already knows. Whos to say she won't speak and I will?"
"I'm not asking her right now, I'm asking you." she insisted. "I'll deal with her later."
She looked down at his cup and smiled.
"Besides... who's to say you really have a choice?"
He looked upset at the moment and looked to the ground.
"And what will happen if I refuse to tell you?" he asked her, his eyes looking from the ground to her.
She chuckled.
"Then I won't give you the antidote to the venom I put in your drink." she said with a cruel smile.
His eyes widened for a moment and he looked down to his drink.
"Well then I'll just have to die here in your caravan won't I?" he replied now just being stubborn.
"Alright then." she said. She sat back on the bench and put her feet up, sipping her own wine and watching him with a smile.
He would crack, she knew it.
Hiei frowned at her reply and gave up.
"I obtained the Jagan to search out the demon who took the stone my mother stone from me." he replied quietly, looking at her," And then it turned into a search for someone who I am protective of."
"and who might that be?" she asked intrigued. This was indeed a unique answer, not even close to what she had guessed.
"Give me the antidote and I'll tell you." he replied with the frown still on his face.
She produced from her sleeve a small red vial.
"Tell me and I'll administer it to you." she told him with a smirk.
"It is a koorime maiden." he replied giving a small cough.
"Why would you wanna find one of them? They have no interest in men." She said with a chuckle, she didn't totally believe him.
He frowned. "She is my sister." he finally admitted his eyes on her.
A grin came to her face, like a chesire cat. She stood and walked over to him, putting the vial in his hands. As she did so, for the breifest moment, she pressed her lips to his. She gave a smirk pulling away and leaving him with the vial.
"Sorry for just trying to get to know you better." she quoted him. Then she left the caravan... the vial was empty... she never poisoned him in the first place.
He snorted and crossed his arms, a blush on his face and he watching her. His face was slightly pink and his arms crossed because he had been bamboozled.
The next day Gin and Kin took Kiya to the watchtower. It was very much a glorified treehouse. Not much, a floor and half walls, but it seemed to serve a purpose as two ravens waited in the tree.
"Ah! They bring news of Kurama!" Gin said.
Kiya blinked and bit her lip. She hoped for all the world that it was good news.
The twins let the birds perch on their hands. They closed their eyes as the birds cawed. After a few minutes the birds flew off.
"He's made it to the archway!" Gin exclaimed. "A few minor scratches from the ogre, but he's walking strong!"
She blinked. "H-how long should it be until he returns?" she asked them.
"well normally it would have taken a month to get to that archway." Gin said.
"So maybe alot sooner than we first thought. Not a year, but maybe six months." Kin told her with a smile.
"Would you like your own bird fammiliar?" Gin asked. "That way you can come up here as you please and get your own news."
Kiya frowned at the time. She was happy that it was less than a year but unhappy that it was still a long wait. She wanted Kurama back already, but figured she would have to wait.
She nodded. "Yes please." she smiled toward the two.
They moved aside.
"Put your hand in the bushes and whistle." Gin said.
"Your fammiliar will choose you." Kin added.
Kiya nodded slightly and put her hand out. She gave a whistle and afterward waited.
A weight came to her wrist, if he pulled her hand back a beautiful peacock blue lorikeet rested on her hand.
Kiya smiled slightly at the sight of the bird. "Oh, wow." she mumbled and looked at it while it sat on its arm.
"Ah, a lorikeet." Gin said.
"How pretty." Kin added.
"Close your eyes and let her sing to you... you will see what she has seen." Gin instructed of Kiya.
"L-let her sing? If you say so." she said and then closed her eyes, waiting for the bird to sing.
The bird began to let out a series of sweet rymthmic whistles. Kiya would find her eyes glued shut. Each sound would appear as another color, it would move in sync with the birds whistled and images would form. Two beautiful swans met on a lake, they danced together before flying away... as they did, Gin, Kin and Kiya climbed the ladder to the watchtower. Then the song ended and Kiya could open her eyes.
Kiya opened her eyes and made a weird face, not quite getting all the images she had just seen.
"Did you see it? did you see what she has seen?" Kin asked.
"Did it work?" Gin asked.
"Two swans dancing on a beautiful lake. THe danced for awhile and then...and then they flew away." she replied toward the two.
"Then it worked!" Kin said.
"How nice." Gin replied. "All I got was a rat being devoured." The two chuckled before looking at her.
"Are you gonna send her to look over Kurama?" Kin asked.
Kiya blinked and looked over to the bird then back to the two. "Do I just tell her to go?" she asked them.
"Specify what you want her to do." Kin told her. "Other wise, she may not return."
"They cannot transfer messages, or take orders from anyone else." Gin explained.
Kiya looked at the bird and then spoke to it. "Miss Lori, could you go find Kurama, and come back to me, telling me if he is okay or not?" she asked the bird.
The bird whistled and took to the sky, vanishing among the blue wonder.
"Now, you just come up here each day and wait." Gin told her. "Simple right?"
She nodded slightly and watched the lorikeet soar up and away. "Thank you." she smiled toward the two and then paused. "Was the little bird that Kurama sent to me while I was living with Hidoi his bird?" she asked them.
They chuckled together.
"That was Suki's bird." Gin told her.
"She missed you so, when Kurama showed up she offered her fammiliar as an assistant." Kin said.
"Let's get back to the camp." They said together. Gin went down the ladder first, Kiya was made to go next. It was a rope ladder so it was a bit too flexible, and Kin was worried Kiya would fall. So she was made to go next, then Kin.
Back at camp Kuro cooked up dinner. A tender roast wild-pig, boiled potatoes with green onions, sour cream and bacon bits, and a pot of boiled carrots sprinkled with basil.
"Oh my god she made potatoes." Gin said. He and Kin couldn't get to the pot fast enough. Potatoes must have been rare around here.
Kiya was slightly confused by the enthusiasm of the twins and the potatos. She shrugged slightly and sat down. She glanced around and looked for Hiei. He at the moment sat by Kuro as she made dinner.
Suki was once again handing out the plates off food. She wore a purple flower in her yellow hair, when she handed a plate to Injigo, his face turned red and he ran off.
"Do you think he knows?" Gin asked Kiya.
"That she knows?" Kin added to explain what his brother meant.
Kuro handed a plate to Hiei with a smile.
Hiei simply nodded toward her, his eyes on the ground as she did.
"I have no idea. " Kiya giggled at the sight of Injigo running off.
"He keeps leaving her flowers from the forest... she knows it's him and he's still so shy." Kin said.
"Puppy love, it's adorable." Gin said. The two wolfed down their food and wine once Suki brought them their plates.
"How was the watchtower?" she asked Kiya.
Kuro smirked. Now that everyone was dishes up, she got some food for herself and ate quietly, watching as Injigo was teased by his sister Sora.
Kiya smiled toward the two and quietly ate her food.
When Suki came up to her, she smiled. "It was fine I got a bird." Kiya replied not knowing what to call the creature.
"A fammiliar? really?" suki asked excitedly.
Kiya nodded slightly. "Y-yes I think that was it." she replied.
"So how is Kurama?" she asked sitting with her.
"A-apparently he reached an ogre faster than expected. So they said that instead of a year he should be back in six months." Kiya replied toward her and paused, smiling toward the girl," T-thank you for letting him use your fammiliar."
"Well he asked so nicely I couldn't say no." Suki replied with a smile.
"Hehe, okay then. " Kiya smiled toward her and then looked over to Injigo. She then looked back to Suki," So how long have you two been friends?"
"I dunno, a long time." Suki said with a smile. "When my sister and I got here he was the first one I met who was my age."
Gin and Kin exchanged amused looks.
"Oh really? How nice." Kiya replied, putting her hands in her lap," Where did you get that flower? It's very pretty."
"Oh this?" she asked indicating the one in her hair. She blushed and gave a nervous laugh. "They grow in a dell not far from here, I think they keep blowing over here from the wind because there are usually a few on the caravan."
So for the next few weeks Hiei and Kiya were considered Gypsies. They camped with them, traveled with them. Twice they all went to a strange market outside of the forest. Yuki, Suki, Sayo and the twins were the only ones able to go, so Hiei and Kiya helped them. They opened up a Caravan like a shop stand and sold the wool made from the wild sheep, canned goods, and several other things the gypsies made. They did not use money, bartering for other goods like food and supplies. Sayo left with some of her jams and such she made and bartered for strange stones and such. She didn't say what they were for.
"It's a religious thing..." Yuki would explain.
One night, a strange whistling on the wind seemed to call kiya's name in a fammiliar voice.
Kiya jumped awake at the sound, her eyes being pryed open and she rubbing them awake. She quietly exited the caravan with her cards tucked in her pockets. She quietly attempted to follow the voice to the best of her ability.
There on the edge of the camp was... Kurama!?
He was dressed in white, and when he saw her gave a gleeful smile.
Kiya looked at him and blushed. She could feel her heart skip a beat and she without a second thought ran to him, embracing him.
"K-kurama!" she exclaimed, burying her head in his chest.
"Oh Kiya how I've missed you." he ask wrapping his arms around her. "Come with me, I have to show you something."
Kiya blushed and grinned. Hearing his request she looked at him curiously and nodded.
He led her by the hand into the woods, further and further from the gypsy camp. Then he stopped and pinned her to a tree roughly, pressing his mouth against hers.
Kiya stood there quietly and followed him until he pinned her up against a tree and began kissing her. She made a weird face, getting a weird feeling, but figured that he simply had missed her as much as she had missed him.
It wasn't until his hands got a bit too low that it was clear something was really wrong. He started to pull down the gypsy skirt that Kiya wore, keeping her pinned to the tree as he did so, and keeping his mouth on hers.
Kiya began to get worried and then broke the kiss, she turning her head away from him. "S-stop!" she requested, trying to squirm from his grasp.
"Why? What's the matter?" he asked kissing her neck instead of her lips now as he continued to pull her skirt down. His legs had her legs pinned to the tree, she couldn't run anywhere.
She began to panic. "N-no s-stop. W-we're supposed to be married! W-wait." she requested her mind unab;e to think of anything else to say, her heart beating fast and her eyes closed as she tried to free her arms.
"I missed you so much..." he whispered in her ear. "I can't wait any longer."
The skirt was down enough to expose her underwear... as he grabbed at the waistband it was clear... this wasn't Kurama. Kurama wasn't like this.
Kiya began to shake. This He tried to move her to the ground, but in the struggle to get her onto the ground he lost grip over her upper arms and for that split second she had two choices. Pull away and run, or submit to his will.
Kiya gulped and felt that he had lost grip on her upper arms and she pulled away from him and ran, she pulling up at least her underwear as she did.
"Kiya!" he called in a harsh tone... but she was gone.
The curse didn't place her back where she was, somehow she was able to escape him. How was this? She ended up running into somone much taller than her, arms wrapped around her.
"Oh thank heavens, Kiya, I've found you. Are you alright?" He asked. Looking up Kiya would see Hidoi. He seemed... different somehow. His face showed a gentle worry to it.
Kiya looked up at who she was with and saw who it was. She struggled out of his arms. "H-Hidoi?" she said, now jumping back several feet back from him and held her hand up a card appearing from no where, she moving her hand down and in a fan shape several other colored cards appeared," D-don't come any closer."
Kiya at this point was very hostile and shaken up. She didn't know what to think.
Hidoi for once, did not draw his cards.
"Kiya please, Listen to me, I beg you." he said taking a step forward. "Put away your cards, I must tell you what has happened."
Kiya frowned and took a step back, keeping her cards out. "I'm listening, but I'm not putting my cards away." she almost growled toward him.
He dropped to one knee, leaving himself vulnerable.
"I'm sorry." he told her. "So, so sorry. I was weak, I never wanted to hurt you and never meant to try. After you left I realized why I had done what I did and how much I regretted it."
He seemed sincere, his cards remained away and there was a broken soul in his eyes.
"At first, it was only because I wanted to bring our race back from the shadows of extinction... but then I got to know you, saw how you progressed; I fell in love with you. I grew so jeleous over Kurama and it broke me. After you left I realized that I do love you, with all my heart and soul. I love you so much I was willing to give you to him; if only to see you happy..."
Kiya watched him and frowned. She looked back where she came from and snorted. She thought for a moment looking at Hidoi. He seemed sincere enough but she was still not going to let her guard down. "What happened to my K-kurama? W-what is that?" she asked, her voice angry, she not even knowing she was able to get this angry.
"I went to the temple of Beuna." he told her resting his head in a hand as if greiving. "To consult my ancestors, and to watch from the pools of dreams. I wanted to see if you were happy without me, and you were. But Then I saw Kurama, who was on his way to kill me. I went to meet him, to tell him to take good care of you. But I was too late... the Leanean Sidhe got to him first."
Kiya stood there and put her cards down. "T-the Leanean Sidhe?" she repeated her eyes on the ground and her mind going back to mythology and such that she had studied. She took several steps closer to Hidoi, kneeled down and looked at him," T-that's a s-succubus type creature, r-right? W-what did it do?"
She unfortunately had no idea what this creature had done to her beloved.
"A leanean sidh is a fairy succubus." he explained. "If a man falls for her tricks and beds her she can control him. She asks him to wed her and he says yes, she owns his soul. It's- it's not his fault, He had been travelling so long, she was able to manipulate his weak mind. She took your shape and tricked him... Now she wants to get rid of her competition, so she possessed him and now she's trying to kill you!"
He looked up at her.
"Her children can control men, but not women. If I take you to her dwelling, you can kill her while her soul is still in his body rather than hers."
Kiya sat down on her knees and a weird expression was on her pale face. Her eyes looked to the ground, and they seemed to be glazed over. Her hands were in her lap. She didn't know what to think of this.
"H-hidoi. With the power I have now, c-can I defeat her?" she asked her voice shakey.
"I don't doubt it at all." he assured her. Her bit his index finger nervously. Then he spoke again. "But... there is more... and I ask you not to get upset, or to cry if I tell you what it is."
Kiya looked at him, an anxious look on her face. "What is it?" she asked him.
It seems to hurt him to say it.
"Once a sidhe has taken your soul, you cannot get it back. If we kill her, Kurama will be freed, but he will also die." he said quickly and quietly, as if that would prevent Kiya from hearing him.
Kiya sat there with her eyes wide open. "H-he will die if I kill that wench?" she asked him as if she heard wrong, praying that she heard wrong," T-there has to be another way."
"We could leave her be... but... then his soul will wither and die along with his flesh." he explained. "Wouldn't it be better to set him free than to leave him prisoner?"
He lowered his head.
"I would have done it... but it is not my place. And besides, I don't want you to hate me for doing such a thing."
"H-how can you expect me n-not to cry over this? Hidoi! When he came back w-we were supposed to be married." she explained looking at him, her eyes sad. She sighed and bit her lip.
He looked away from her, unable to look into her eyes.
"I'll take you to her, you can take your revenge." he told her. "Then... we'll give him a wonderful funeral."
He used a card to summon a great bird. They sat on it's back as it flew, keeping hold of some feathers to stay there. They flew over hills, mountains and finally reached the mountan pass they saught. They landed and Hidoi looked to the the cavern entrance. He pointed to it.
"She lives there." he told her.
Kiya looked into the cavern's entrance and then asked," So I go in there, kill her and then go?"
"Do your best, but if there is even a small chance she is about to kill you, then run." Hidoi told her. "I can go no further than this, she could use me against you."
Kiya nodded and then began to walk into the cavern, quietly. She glanced around, even though it was dark. She had had Luna make her able to see in the dark.
There were several skeletons around, all male. The caverns turned into a tunnel, at the end of it a light glow. A beautiful voice hummed a slow but cheery tune.
Kiya kept quiet as she walked through the cavern, she not even noticing the several bodies on the ground near her. Her mind was only on one thing which was killing this thing and then getting back to mourn over her lover's body. She had cloaked herself with darkness to help decrease her chances of being detected, and she still kept the power to see in the darkness. HEr cards were in her right hand as she neared the woman.
The light came from a candle that burned beside her on a vanity table made of coral and sea shells. Beside her was a pool of water, probably leading out to the sea. Her bed was made of the same coral and sea shell material, the matress of dried out sea sponge.
She was very beautiful, brushing her hair before the mirror she sat at. It was a soft orange-red, her skin fair and freckled, and her eyes a bright blue. She heard kiya as a stone skittered from her foot.
"Who is there? Is that you my preciouse ox-driver?" she asked into the darkness. She turned around.
Kiya stood perfectly still when the rock skidded from her foot. She looked at the woman in disgust as she spoke. She was gorgeous, and didn't blame any man who fell for her tricks, but she didn't have to go and play them on her "fiancee" so to speak.
"No it is not your ox-driver." Kiya replied, moving her arm up and having the darkness which surrounded her disappear," Far from it."
The girl did not seem surprised.
"A woman? Oh but she is pretty isn't she?" the girl said more to herself than to Kiya. She stood and approached Kiya, her fingers inspecting her hair. "So soft and thick, a shame about the split ends. A simple snipping each morning would do wonders. So what can I do for you my sweet?"
Kiya stood still as the woman inspected her hair. After her question she looked the woman striaght in the eye, hoping that a bit of pathos would save Kurama. "P-please, may I have soul of the red headed kitsune back?" Kiya began, her voice shaky as she said this," He's my lover, and he is all I h-have ma'am."
The girl wrapped her arms around Kiya's neck, pressing herself against her.
"I'm sorry my sweet, but I've not had the soul or flesh of a kitsune for some time now... you're much to young to be the lover of my last one whose flesh I consumed two centuries ago." she said flatly. "But if you've lost him, I would love to be hsi replacement." her leg raised, rubbing the inside of her calf against Kiya's thigh. It made it awkward as all the Sidhe was wearing was a skimpy silk housecoat.
Kiya removed herself from the woman's grasp and frowned," I-I'm perfectly fine thank you. You've not taken the soul of a redheaded boy? He's yeigh high has long red hair, and emerald colored eyes?"
She gave a seductive smile and adjusted her housecoat, flashing a hairless part of her as she did so.
"I have not..." she told her. She sat on the bed and stretched a leg out. "Why don't you come lay down, and I'll give you a nice massage?"
Kiya blinked and then shuddered. "N-no I-I have to find out what happened to my love." Kiya shook her head and flashed her cards," Ma'am, p-please tell me if you have, or if it was another succubus so I may leave you in peace. Although I-I've an idea that it was you."
She moaned and lay back on her bed.
"Why so eager? If he is your love you should know where he is at all times. I always know where my lovers are. My ox-driver should be here soon, my fisherman is on the lake, my carpenter is in town bringing me a new gown, and my gardener went off to bring me flowers." she said with a sleepy sigh. "You know I've never loved a woman before... but one as pretty as you is just as good a reason to try something new."
Kiya stood there. "Well last time I saw mine he was in the forest of Pan...he wasn't himself, you see...and then yeah..." her voice trailed off and she shook her head," N-no ma'am, I don't swing that way. "
She gave a mirthful chuckle.
"Neither do I, that's why we should try. How would either of us know if we don't experiment?" she asked. "Now enough talk of your lover, if you have such trouble with him why bother? Find someone new who is right for you."
she seemed to be avoiding answering her direct questions.
Kiya frowned. "No. I'm commitedly wholly to this man and am consecrated for him until we are married. Ma'am, please." Kiya asked one more time, one could see a shine on her card, they becoming sharp now.
The girl gave that mirthful chuckle again, she stood and sighed, walking around the edges of the pool of water. She began humming that tune again.
The woman casually turned her head.
"Oh? A magic show? How fun!" she said with a giggle.
"A-a m-magic show?!" Celsius repeated, her pride hurt slightly.
Undine simply rolled her eyes," Can we get this over with?"
Kiya stood there. "One last time, give me the soul of my redhead back." Kiya commanded.
The girl giggled again and returned to her vanity where she began brushing her hair and humming again.
Kiya sighed and then put a hand on her forehead.
She didn't necessarily want to kil the succubus, but she was left with no choice. "Sylph, grant my elemental power." a green aura surrounded her and she was abe to use the wind. Kiya began to run foreward, and the sucubus found herself being bombarded with wind, water, and ice attacks.
She took the blunt force and was thrown into her pool of water... her body vanished.
Outside Hidoi was waiting, pacing back and forth as he did.
Kiya stood there and stopped running toward her when the woman's body disappeared. She did not let her guard down for a moment.
"Where'd she go?" Celsius turned toward Undine.
The water maiden shrugged.
The plants, and the coral and the seashells around turned to dust. She must have been killed.
Kiya jumped back and then began to shake. If the woman was dead, then Kurama was dead. She turned around and waved her hand, the spirits returning to their cards. She slowly made her way out of the entrance.
Hidoi pulled her into a quick embrace.
"Oh thank heavens your alive." he said. "Did you kill her?"
"I-I think so." Kiya slowly spoke," Everything in the room turned to dust after she fell into the water."
Kiya was shaking, using that much power and that many summon spirits took up alot of energy.
He gave her a weak smile.
"His body was not inside the cavern, was it?" he asked sadly.
She slowly shook her head. "N-no." she replied looking up at him.
He sighed.
"Then we shall use flower petals instead of ashes, and we will throw them to the wind." he told her. "Come, I'll take you to Beuna... there we will hold the funeral, and you can also learn of your heritage more."
He brought her to a beautiful dojo filled with art and statues. There was a hall of paintings, each showing a family portrait. In one was a woman who looked just like Kiya. She stood with who must have been her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
"Your mothers family." Hidoi explained. He pointed acros the hall to a boy and his family. "And your fathers, when they were your age."
Kiya observed the rooms and walked with her arms crossed. "And they were to be married when of age?" she asked Hidoi quietly.
"They lived in the age before the war, before the genocides of our kind." Hidoi explained to her. "They chose one another, but married young, at 16. You came along two years later you know."
He gave a sad sigh.
"Your father faught aside my younger brothers in the war. I was older, so I faught on the frontlines. I was hurt and became lost... when I was able to return, I found everything I cared for was gone. I wished I had died instead, but then I realized maybe I was meant to bring our people back to life. I would say that is what pushed me too far."
He turned to her.
"Come... we shall gather the petals of roses and cast them into the wind to lay his soul to rest."
Kiya began to think about these things as she walked with Hidoi. "W-we can't search for h-his body? O-or perhaps c-contact Koenma?" Kiya began to suggest. She didn't want to let him go just yet.
"Don't torture yourself... please." Hidoi begged her. "These things happen... I understand how you feel, my beloved Anya was taken from me when I was young. We both have to grow... not forget them per say, but to move on."
Kiya sighed tear began to form in her eyes. "I-I don't want to. Hidoi there has to be a way to bring him back. Some form of ancient artifact, or deal I can strike with somebody, or anybody?" she continued to speak, almost to herself more than anything."
"I'm sorry... if you want, I'll see what I can do." he told her. "You can stay here, I'll leave for spirit world tonight."
Kiya looked at Hidoi her eyes slightly hopeful. "Y-you will? T-thank you." she replied and kissed him on the cheek. She knew that wasn't a 'he'll come back to life if he does' but at least it was something.
Hidoi smiled at her.
He set her up in a large room with a comfortable bed, served her dinner of noodles, mushrooms and chicken and then set out on his own for spirit world.
Hidoi returned early the next morning, four, maybe five o'clock. He walked slowly, his head down and his eyes on his feet. He knocked on Kiya's door hesitantly.
Kiya woke up, she not being able to get much sleep. She hurried to the door and then paused, a sinking feeling in her stomach when she saw his expression.
"They can do nothing." he told her. "I begged, pleaded, degraded myself but they cannot. Forgive me."
Kiya looked down at the ground and her eyes filled with tears. "N-no..." her voice trailed off and she buried her face in her hands, beginning to cry.
Hidoi pulled her into a warm hug, stroking her hair to comfort her.
"It's okay... it's okay..." he said gently.
Kiya quietly cried in Hidoi's arm, regretting that they had ever met, he'd at least still be alive and she could be admiring from afar like she use to. She clung to Hidoi, her face buried in his chest as she cried.
He let her weep for several minutes before gently pushing her back to look at him. He dropped to one knee and held one of her hands.
"I know it is no replacement." he said. "But I ask you to marry me... I promise to be a good husband, I'll care for you and our children. Not because we have to be wed, but because we want to be wed."
It was a white wedding a week later. Hidoi used his cards to summon millions of white lillies. They would keep it small, in the courtyard of Beuna, it all went by so quickly. The priest had them exchange rings, Hidoi was able to buy expensive beautiful rings made of white gold and pure diamond. The vows were poetic, the kiss was breif and gentle, and though the wedding was wonderful there seemed to be a chill in the air.
He sat with her in the bedroom, holding Kiya on his lap and kissing her neck. A bottle of campagne sat on the bucket of ice, a glass half full in both of their hands.
Kiya did try to be happy during the wedding and was able to put on a happy facade even though inside, she was torn apart. Now it was their wedding night and she sat there on his lap, she holding the champagne in her hands as he kissed her. She tried sipping the champagne but didn't necessarily like the taste of it. She drank it to distract her mind from what was going on and from wishing that it had been she and Kurama's wedding day and not Hidoi and hers.
"Lay with me now my beautiful bride." he said to her dropping the champagne glass. He kissed her neck again. "Grace our marriage with a beautiful child. I would love a son, but I had six brothers of my own once, I wouldn't mind a daughter either. We shall name her after you if that is the case."
He ran a hand up her thigh, stimulating the nerves.
Kiya lay herself down on the bed for him, her heart was racing. Not out of passion, but out of nervousness. She put her champagne glass on the nightstand. Her hands shook somewhat, she not being completely comfortable that the many she was to give herself to was a thirty year old who had tricked her grandmother and due to this, she was left with out a family. But it was too late now.
She simply looked up at him from where she lay, her hand on his.
He was rather rough and controlling as he removed her wedding dress and enetered her. Her virginity gone and her womanhood began. It was painful, but supposedly the first time always way. Hidoi bit her neck, and clawed at her arms a few times. After half an hour he deposited his seed and laid before her satisfied and fell asleep. The room now smelled aweful.
Kiya lay there and was panting. She hadn't necessarily enjoyed it. As Hidoi lay there sleeping, she got up and put on a robe. The room smelled and she needed fresh air. Quietly, she open the door and went outside, her arms crossed and she quietly crying.
Something small skittered by her feet and sat by the edge of the grass. It was furry, and rabbit like, it looked somewhat like a cat as well with a long whip-like tail.
Kiya picked it up, her long brown hair getting in her face when she did. "H-hello." she smiled toward it, even though it had the ability to bite her. Her brown eyes studied it as she began to wipe her tears away.
It rubbed against her ankle again, then it rolled on it's back exposing it's soft tummy, like a friendly cat.
"Shew." it whistled again. It's little paws batted at the hem of the robes Kiya wore.
Kiya quietly giggled at it, and then began to scratch the little creature. "You are too cute." she smiled toward it.
It purred like a cat did, it's paws batted at her hand without pulling it's claws. Who else did kiya know who had blonde hair and green eyes as this critter did? Sayo-Kokoro didn't she? It almost seemed to smile as it 'attacked' her hand and fingers without using claws or teeth.
It left after a few minutes of play, leaving Kiya alone.
The next morning Hidoi was very touchy feely, running a hand over Kiya's a** almost everytime he passed her. He used one of his cards, 'Felidus' which acted like a butler who made them breakfast of eggs and hashbrowns.
Kiya would flinch everytime he would touch her and wasn't necessarily fond of his touchy-feelyness. She had bathed, and gotten dressed, she wearing a dark blue yukata, for it seemed as if that was all she had to wear in this house. When Hidoi would come around, she would put on her smile, and when he was gone, she would back to sighing.
For several weeks it was the same torturous pattern. During the day they were waited on by the spirits of Hidoi's cards, Hidoi could flirt and let his hands explore a little too much. At night he would insist on having sex. After he went to sleep, the blonde cat visited Kiya outside. It brought her mice, and sometimes branches with flowers on them.
One day a woman arrived, she was to inspect Kiya and see if she was pregnant yet.
Kiya endured the same pattern for several weeks, and she produced her own. After having sex every night, she would go outside, cry, and then the little cat, her friend, she considered now, would bring her gifts, bringing her once bright smile back to her face. When Hidoi insisted on having sex, Kiya would mentally whince, his making love was in no way enjoyable and hurt more than she thought it needed to.
"I-inspect?" Kiya frowned slightly, and sighed.
"Yes, it's just a simple blood test and some other things." The woman told her. "Come with me into your bedroom and we will do the tests."
"It's alright Kiya, it won't hurt." Hidoi promised with a smile.
"O-okay then." she replied and then went with the woman into the other room.
She took some blood with a needle, as well as a urine test. Then asked a few simple questions.
"When did you last mensturate?" was the first question.
"Last week." Kiya replied, and it was the truth. Some reason, she seemed to not be taking to Hidoi.
Hidoi had left then when the examination started, and after several minutes the woman stood and bowed.
"I'll return in a month to see how things are going." she said. She told Hidoi the results and he seemed dissapointed.
The schedual changed and he insisted on sex during the day now as well. The entire time things didn't seem to improve, he was still very rough and controlling. All of those years of people talking about how wonderful having sex was seemed like a lie.
One night, The blonde cat arrived with a friend. A red cat with green eyes, only slightly bigger than her. One could assume it was male, as it was not as sleek or slender as the blonde one.
Kiya was almost bruised from head to toe now with the way Hidoi "made love" to her. She continued to cry every night and when she spotted the blone kitty with a red one, her eyes widened and she looked at it curiously. Its red hair reminded her of Kurama with its green eyes. She began to shake and cry even more this night. She missed him so much. "I-I'm so sorry Kurama." she whispered to mainly herself. She should have said no to Hidoi, and lived a single life, and now she was wishing she had.
The red cat's ears flattened sadly, and it forced it's way into her arms, cuddling against her as if begging her not to cry. It's fur was so soft, it cuddled against her chest and rubbed his skull under her chin. The blonde one sat off to the side, just watching her.
Kiya looked down at the cat which attempted to comfort her, and she cuddled it in her arms, and afterward gently stroked it. "He's so horrible." she whispered toward the cats and began to quietly cry again.
The blonde one skittered away, and the red one gave a hiss. Hidoi stepped outside.
"What are you doing out here?" He asked Kiya groggily. He spotted the red cat in her arms and shoed it away, it seemed eager to stay, and snarled at Hidoi, but the female came back and bit it's ear in dominance, making it leave with her.
"You musn't touch those bamboo cats." Hidoi told her taking Kiya by the wrist and pulling her to her feet. "They carry many diseases. Come back to bed."
Kiya quickly froze when she heard Hidoi's voice she pretended to yawn and then stood when he grabbed her wrist. "B-but they're cute." Kiya replied to him. She looked and him and wanted to stay outside, but obeyed and went back inside with him.
"Yes, very cute." he said. "But one n** could give you rabies, or one of their fleas could carry an illness." He dragged her to the bed and held her from behind, kissing her neck.
"Let's go again." he muttered as he started to open her bathrobe.
Kiya shook her head. "N-no Hidoi. I'm tired. Please, we can try again in the morning. I'm so sore." she pleaded with him, putting a pillow over her.
"Oh come on..." he said clearly not giving her a choice in the matter and he became a bit more forceful and controlling.
"Hidoi, no!" she shouted at him and pulled away from him, she falling on the floor as she did. She frowned and looked at him, closing her bathrobe," I know you want a child, but you needn't force one into me."
He picked her off the floor, but put her onto the bed and started kissing her neck, holding her wrists as he did so.
"Just one more time." he said as he started to feel her down there.
Kiya frowned and tried to squirm but as he started to feel her she stopped moving and blushed, her eyes closed. "N-no. I'm sore Hidoi." she protested once more, her breathing getting heavier as he continued to explore.
He wasn't listening, and what he did next was nothing more than rape.
The next morning there was actually blood on the sheets, not alot, but it stood out on the white. Hidoi simply kissed her on the cheek and said good morning, as if nothing happened.
Kiya was so sore this morning. She wrapped her arms around her and she continued to lay there on the bed, her eyes closed.
He seemed almost amused by her reactions before he got out of bed. He left her there alone in the bedroom, and after several minutes of silence there was a commotion outside.
Kiya picked up her head as she heard commotion. She wrapped the sheet around her to go see what was happening even though she was so sore. She opened the door and walked out slightly, she holding onto the door frame.
Kokoro appeared.
"Oh my god Kiya..." she said in shock. Kiya had bruising on her face and neck from Hidoi's teeth. There was a smashing behind her as Hidoi was thrown through the wall. A flash of red followed. Kokoro took Kiya's hand and pulled her down the hall.
