Yeah, today I got my warts removed from my feet. I sat in the waiting room for a good 40 minutes before they called me in. I was told that getting your warts removed didn't hurt. For me, it hurt like hell. The doctor sprayed this really cold stuff to numb the skin so that when the needle penetrated, it wouldn't hurt. Well, for one thing, the cold stuff was like ice; I wasn't expecting it to hurt, but it did cause some pain. And then there was the needle. I felt it. Not sure if I felt it penetrate, but I did feel it when the doctor released the novocain into my heel. Oh my god that hurt. The whole procedure hurt...except for when the doctor burned the wart off. The smell of burnt skin is gross. ...I thought I was going to get it lasered off... So that was one foot. The other foot had a wart as well, but I thought I had gotten rid of it. Turns out I might not have. So they had to use the freezing spray and a needle again. The doctor burnt that one off as well, but I didn't smell anything. I'm glad my aunt was there to comfort me. biggrin It was so painful!
I don't know if it was really supposed to hurt, 'cuz it really did hurt...perhaps I have low pain tolerance? I like to think that I have high pain tolerance, because I don't like to look like a weakling. Or maybe the feet have a lot more pain receptors than any other part of the body, other than the hands? All I have to say is...IT HURT!
