There have been a very few isolated recordings of half-vampire-half-werewolves in Ethica’s history. Individuals such as these are a medical nightmare. The genetic mutation in their blood, which causes them to be werewolves, is both recessive and dominant at the same time. The fourth breeds are a walking contradiction.
Because of the conflict (wolves grow at a faster rate than humans and vampires do not grow at all except for during their cycle) they are usually of smaller build than full or even half-bloods. They are paler than the normal wolves, and tanner than the vampires. Their fangs are not retractable, but neither are they as long as the vampires’; it looks like they are just rather long canine teeth.
They do not grow like the wolves do, but rather, instead of the small changes during a vampire cycle; they grow rapidly, and change dramatically in comparison. And during a cycle, whereas full or half vampires would have to take copious amounts of drugs to keep themselves stable, the fourth breeds can control the instability with very little use. They are, however, hypersensitive. (I.e. - a slight breeze would feel like being in a tornado) It is best if they take drugs to go into a state of unconsciousness during the cycle, though some of them feel it is better to lock themselves up, without drugs.
Many of the individuals do not make it out of infancy. They are so unstable during that time alone, with the growth and constant contradiction of blood flow and lack of it, that they tend to die out within a couple weeks, three at most.
If they can make it past that time period, and have no defects or illnesses because of it (if they had those, it would be kinder to take their life as there would be unbearable constant pain) then they start to plateau condition-wise.
The fourth breeds can function in society sooner than the pups and young vampires do, but have a hard time fitting into any category of race, because of the mutt-like quality of their bodies.
