My Digital Escapades
Sobbing's Personal Thoughts and Recollections
Update on my flu & Goldfish xD
I've been so sick for the past few days. Which really sucks more than usual, because it ruined Padfoot's visit. gonk Well it didn't ruin it really, we just conked out at midnight instead of staying up until 6am lol. I only remember bits and pieces of what Jim, her and I did that night. o.0 I think I was mostly asleep the entire time, despite the fact that I was laughing obnoxiously loud. XDD Oh I'm so great. <3

But yeah, the day Padfoot went back to her Dad's house I got like.. super sick. As soon as Jim and Paddy stepped out the door I got in bed and passed out. Waaay too much activity the night before lmao. I'm starting to feel a little better though. I can sit up at the computer for more than 10 minutes. I just need to be careful that I don't have a relapse.

So about my Goldfish. It's been a few days since I put those medicine tablets into the water and none of the fish have developed any fungus after Moegi [a fantail who died a few days ago]. The tablets were to cure fungus, tail, fin or mouth rot, hemorrhagic septicemia, clamped fins, dropsy. It also clears furunculosis, eye cloud, pop eye [eww..], and swim bladder disease.

Hopefully that nipped anything in the bud that may have been developing from the new fish. I noticed the new ones had a tendency to swim kind of funny every once in a while, but now they are swimming just fine. I just need to change the water and treat them all for ick now, because Kakashi has a speck of it on his dorsal fin.

Kakashi [my 1 year + Common] is looking healthier and healthier. After the severe ammonia burn she had her colour has went from a faint bronze to lightly dusted bronze, to darkish yellow to yellow [this was when her black scars were really apparent, showing she was healing properly] to cream with a light dusting of yellow along the spine. Wow lots of colour changes. I am absolutely amazed that she is still alive. Hardly any fish survive what she has. Now the black scars are only along the ridge of her spine and the tips of her caudal fin [all other fins are cleared up].

Oh yes, Jim and I concluded that Kakashi was indeed a she and not a he lol. It's pretty much impossible for us to tell until it comes around time for them to spawn. A month or two before we bought the new fish we noticed Kakashi was a little bloated and looked almost constipated. So we wrote it off as constipation. However, when Kakashi's poop started to appear zig-zaggy and weird I realized then that she had been with eggs, not constipated. Her poop showed that she was absorbing them into her body, since she had no one to mate with.

On to Udon! When I first bought the little Black Moor it had a slightly bronze colour to it. I didn't know much about Black Moors or their different colour variations and I knew that there was the possibility of that being ammonia burn, but I got him just to find out. Well now his bronze colour is gone! So I'm assuming that it was really ammonia burn. I was sitting on the floor by the tank today and I saw a white flash from his underside. I was like surprised ! I wonder if that white patch will spread as he gets older. I'm not going to get my hopes up and jinx it, but it would be nice if he grew into a Panda. n_n

As for Konohamaru? He is still his chipper, hungry little self. I don't see anything wrong with him as of yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Although it does seem as if he's searching the tank for Moegi [but that could just be my imagination].

Kakashi has become quite the little beggar now. He'll dance in the corner closest to my computer whenever I come in and sit down until he realizes I'm not going to feed him heh. The other two have caught on as well. Just earlier they were all swimming in the top corner waiting for more food [because I had already fed them 5 minutes before]. Speaking of one of the devils--Kakashi is back at it again. He must know his splash gets my attention.

Oh yes, and about Kakashi's splashing. I don't know if it's that he's over excited or have so much room to swim or what.. He darts along the back wall of the tank like a little torpedo! It's been making me a little nervous to leave him alone, so I have to rest the lid on top of the tank when I'm out of the room for hours at a time. I'm so afraid he'll build up enough momentum to jump out! I know it happens really often to people with fish. I'm so scared that I'm going to walk in one morning and find poor Kakashi laying on my carpet. I don't think I have to worry about that with my other two. Fantails and Moors aren't really known for their amazing swimming skills. XD Silly helpless fancy fish. <3
