I, apparently next summer, am invited to England, France, and Italy to study. This rocks.
Even if I am going to school, it will be worth it, because I'm going to FREAKING EUROPE. My life has just, in the future, gotten livelier.
I asked my mum if I could have a digital camera so I could have pictures to bring back or so.
I also watched Woodstock: Then and Now yesterday. At first, I was in a good mood. But I also was watching the School Of Rock too. I'm watching then hear "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin. I do remember saying that if you have Led Zeppelin's music in any show or whatever, you must must have had a pretty damn good reason to convince them. Led Zeppelin really never does let people use their music in their products, ads, tv shows, etc.
But as I was watching Woodstock, they had to mention Altamont. I know the Stones did do it, but they always get blamed for the Hells Angels thing. If I remember correctly, it was the Grateful Dead who INVITED them to come along with them. The Angels were basically Grateful Dead heads, and enjoyed their music. I watched the Stones biography on the Bio channel so many time, that it just helped confirm that they didn't hire them. They gave money to anybody that could control the becoming restless crowd. So the Angels did.
But, the Stones are always going to be blamed for it. Bastards. But it also showed that the 60's naivety wasn't always going to last. Sooner or later, something was going to crack. They all thought peace would last and could be the answer, but that could never happen. There is always going to be somebody who hates someone and wants more than they have. But it gave you a glimpse of what could have been, where there's no fighting, no greed, nothing. Man and nature together. But, no matter how many people wanted that to happen, it didn't. I don't think it will, even though I would like it to.
But enough hippies, so I am still thinking on some things. I think I might have to learn how to do laundry if I go do that thing as mentioned above. I don't even know how to do laundry. We've gotten a new washer and dryer, and I didn't even know how to work the previous ones we had. I just hope that I get to explore some. Or am I gonna have to fake an accent so they don't think I'm a stupid American. So, I might. But accents are fun. I can do a country accent, British accent, Scottish accent, Jamaican accent, Spanish accent, German accent, Middle Eastern accent, Northern accent, Australian accent and Northern accents. I find myself taking to the German one and British one.
At school yesterday, we did a reading on biographies. There were a few to choose from. The ones they first mentioned weren't all that interesting. There were:
Brad Pitt
Taylor Swift
Angelina Jolie
Some guy
Them they mentioned one that really had my attention. Mick Jagger.
That was the one I immediately went for. I already knew all of the information that was on it. I added a few bits. The first question was on it was why did you choose this person. I simply put because he was god. I had to clear up some of the things in it, like the Hells Angel things. I put the Grateful Dead had invited them. Oh, the question said what did you learn about them that you didn't know. I already knew that they had dedicated the Hyde Park concert to Brian. Plus, I had known about the movie PERFORMANCE. It was and is regarded as the best British gangster film ever.
Current music is the Doors "End Of The Night". I've been craving that song right now.
Which leads me to this.
