How could I have been so careless?!
How could I have not bothered to check the school website at LEAST every once in a while?!
School starts in two weeks....on August 31, which is earlier this year. That's not the problem, though that adds to my previous (and still occurring) problem of not getting my summer project done.
OH NO, it gets worse: because things are different this year, so was the whole registration process. USUALLY, they mail us a card that tells us when we pick up the registration packets, so then we go, fill the stuff out, then come back on the appropriate date to complete the registration process. HOWEVER, things have changed this year, which neither I or my parents were aware about.
According to the school website, due to a mailing error, everyone had to go pick up their registration packets....ON AUGUST 13TH AND 14TH, both being dates that have ALREADY PASSED. Oh, but it gets worse. Tomorrow is the date Juniors are supposed to return their registration packets, the packet which I DON'T HAVE, because we never went to pick it up because we were never mailed the reminder of when to go pick them up and I never bothered to check up on the school website to double check on things.
It's not all my fault though....I can name another person's carelessness that is also to blame.

See, I KNOW that the school will ALSO phone your home to remind you, in case your mail was lost somehow and you never received it. HOWEVER, my dad, in his thoughtlessness, changed our phone number TWICE, due to a "telemarketing" annoyance and because he had called someone he disliked using the home phone and he didn't want that person being able to call him back. BUT, we never got the chance to tell the school that our home phone number was changed, so I assume that they tried to call us, but had used the old phone number that my dad had stupidly abandoned.
But I suppose either way, it's both our faults for pretty much cutting ourselves off of communication with my school accidentally, and now it's too late to register for my Junior year, AND for my brother's Senior year, too. I'm not even sure if we can still register or not... Ugh, what to do.....? ~_~
