An engine roars as a scooter rips through alleys and back-roads. With the demonic glow as his guide, Ase tracks down his murderer and Anna. Meanwhile, in a rundown warehouse, the faint glow of candles is seen, along with an ominous, operatic tune. Anna awakens, chained to a wall and in fear for her life. She frantically searches the room, only to find a man. He is dressed in rather formal clothing, the sleeves to his white shirt have a red tint to them, and, the most predominate thing about him, is his smile, which seems to pierce the shadows that hide his face. He steps forward and says with a crazed voice, "Heh… heheheh… You know, you remind me alot of her, mother. I miss mother, but now I have you…" "Wh-what are you going to do with me?" Anna asks in a barely audible voice. A small crashing noise is heard outside. He brushes the noise aside from his attention and replies, "I'm going to do to you what I did to her… I'm going to love you, and then I'm going to kill you. No, but this time, I'll do it differently. I'll take a memento. That's it, I'll take that pretty little head you've got on your shoulders…!" A few moments earlier, Ase finds the warehouse, but can't find an entrance. He looks up to see a window, and across the alley he's in, he sees a building. Ase remembers one of the things Mort told him, "… Your physical limitations are lower than ever…" Ase whispers to himself, "I hope he meant I can jump and throw better." Ase Tosses the scooter onto the rooftop, which makes a crashing noise, and jumps onto the rooftop. "That actually worked! I need to get used to it though." Ase whispers while getting to his feet. He then turns behind him to see a thick board, supported as if it is a ramp, facing the factory window. Ase says to himself as he picks up the scooter, " Well that's coincidentally convenient." He begins to drive the scooter towards the ramp. Inside the warehouse, the murderer approaches Anna with his knife. As he praises it to slice her clothing, Ase and the scooter burst through the second story window. The scooter crashes to the ground as Ase lands on his feet. Both Anna and the murderer are stunned at this dramatic entry of the man with a skull for a head. Ase removes the skull from his face and places it back on the scythe, where it morphs to a smaller form in order to fit. Anna shout, "Ase! Your alive!" The murderer, who looks enraged at this point, yells, "No! This can't be right!! I killed you!!!" He hangs his head and continues, "No matter. I'll just have to kill you again, just like that old man!!!" He lunges towards Ase, knife first. Ase draws one of his swords and deflects the knife. A duel ensues. The murderer randomly tries to stab at Ase while backing up. Ase knocks away all of the stabs while walking towards the murderer, intimidating him. Ase then sheaths his sword, kicks the knife out of the murderer's hand and kicks him in the face, knocking him to the ground against a wall. Ase puts his foot on the murderer's chest and draws his scythe. He raises it in the air when he's interrupted. "Stop!" Anna shouts. "Don't do it Ase! Don't stoop to his level!" she scolds. Ase solemnly replies, "I know what I'm doing. Trust m—" While they were talking, the murderer reached for his knife and threw it into Ase's temple. The murderer begins to laugh as Ase staggers back. But to his surprise, Ase regains balance and grabs the knife, pulling it out of his head. The wound heals with a golden glow as Ase tosses the knife behind him. He raises the scythe again and swings it downward across the murderer's neck. The murderer and Anna flinch as it happens, but the blade doesn't lop the murderer's head off, it doesn't even cut the neck. Instead, it pulls a figure out. The figure is twisted and evil looking, but it is humanoid, nonetheless. It is a demon. Ase delivers a blow to the demon, halving it. The demon then turns black and condenses into the scythe blade, turning it black. Ase runs his hand across the scythe blade while saying the word "cleanse". The blade reverts back to its normal, white glow. Ase then walks to Anna and cuts the chains off of her with one of his ninjato as the former murderer hunches over in a corner, sobbing and whispering, "What have I done…? What have I done…?!" Anna picks up her scooter and the two walk out of the warehouse, leaving the man to himself. As they leave, Anna says to Ase with tears of joy in her eyes, "You're paying for repairs."
