ASK YOURSELF in the most silent hour of your night: must I write? Dig into yourself for a deep answer. And if this answer rings out in assent, if you meet this solemn question with a strong, simple "I must," then build your life in accordance with this necessity..." - Rainer Maria Rilke
Evacuate the dance floor, I'm addicted to the sound
So Friday was horrible. Feeling shitty the whole day (I forget the reason why) and then we get a pop essay in English lab. Which I write half the opening sentence for, and then skip half the page and write about how much I abhor The Machine, people, everything, etc., etc. Then in real English class we had another essay, which I managed to write three paragraphs for before the bell rung. I scribbled two paragraph symbols to the bottom and called it good.

Then JV lost against Morse 2-1. We got the first goal, and were doing pretty well. Then the first goal went over my head and Morse got pumped. By the second goal, my entire team had given up. The last five minutes of the game were played entirely on my eighteen. It was a personal God-given miracle that I managed to keep the score that low. Got back to the school, and skipped the football game to ride home on Hogart.

Today.

Homecoming game against Morse. WE WIN IN DOUBLE OVERTIME. SUCK ON THAT, RAT BURNERS.

I straighten my hair at home, then go to Colby's. Follow her to DQ, then to the confusing hotel.

It was so awkwardly funny how out of place Randi and I were.

Dinner. Which was yummy.

Then even more awkward pictures of putting myself on display against much skinnier/prettier girls. I hate posing for pictures. It's just a still-life. It was interesting how Matt agreed with me when we pulled in at the same time. What, breaking his two week long silence? Nice. Jerk.

So overall the dance was okay. Ry-Ry spent the night with Haley, Michelle, Amy, and company, and I don't even think Mr. Prez has hips to move. And I didn't get to find out, because the only slow song was Taylor Swift, which he was absent for. Again, jerk.

So I just tried to dance out everything and completely exhaust myself. Which somewhat worked, but somewhat didn't, as I'm still a little steamed.

I want to ask Matt, Prez, Ry-Ry, Valerie, Jordan, everyone I can:

If a genie appeared and agreed to grant any one wish besides the granting of more wishes, what would you wish for? Love, fame, power, an end to world hunger?

(By the way, Wrandi wished for world peace. But it doesn't have to be that selfless.)

Probably to end world hunger. Fame and power don't sounds as appealing, and I'd pick it over love.

I felt bad how out of place Mr. Prez looked last night. I talked to him a couple of times, but I really wish Mikey'd been there to be with him, since it looked like Courtney had a date.

I DID NOT WISH FOR ******** WORLD PEACE! I'M NOT THAT NAIIVE! FIGHTING IN THIS WORLD IS WHAT GETS THINGS DONE.

But what I did wish for I would rather not disclose here.
a*****e.
And I would appreciate if you didn't tell everyone.
