[UBeE - Time to paint the town]
"Itsy bitsy spider went down the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out."

[OOC: Sorry if it took a long time. Was busy. xp
EDIT: Please PM me if this RP is still on, k? xDD It seems like
I have caused its death. o.o]

"Waaah..." a young girl, her hair the color of copper and gold, yawned as she tiredly walked down the street. Her blue-green eyes blinked rapidly, trying to clear off some of the fatigue that had accumulated during the past three days. Despite the weariness in her bones and the slight limp in her leg, a bright happy smile was still pasted on her face. Onlookers, judging from her shabby and unkempt appearance, would easily think that some poor hobo had just won the lottery. In fact, as she rounded the curb, she made an attempt to add some bounce on her step and a cheerful whistle to accompany her daily routine.

Every day Ubee would walk from her rented apartment in one of the dingiest and poorest areas downtown and head towards a nearby newspaper stand. From there on, she'd hunt through the hiring section in hopes of finding a decent job. Despite her excellent grades at school, she was only able to finish high school. Her parents had planned for her to attend pre-med and then eventually medical school, but their deaths had prevented that from happening. She happily hopped through the last few steps towards the newspaper stand but stopped short just outside a small shop that had the words 'CAFE' on its windows. Ubee stared at the sign hungrily as she gripped her aching stomach. "Wha! To hell with savings. I'm gonna splurge todaaay." she declared and gingerly entered the cafe.

With her hands behind her back, she threaded her way towards bunches of randomly clustered people searching for somewhere to sit and stuff herself silly. A concerned look clouded her eyes as she saw that table after table was occupied. It was awkward, standing at the center of a packed cafe in clothes that barely fit and an innocent, almost hopeful expression on her face.

[Tachiko Gozen]
"By the Way of the warrior is meant death. The Way of the warrior is death. This means choosing death whenever there is a choice between life and death. It means nothing more than this. It means to see things through, being resolved.”
- Yamamoto Tsunetomo

Drip. Drip. Drip.

The soft sound of the gentle rain pattering its way on the muddy streets greeted Tachiko, or Tachi, as the village children called her as she emerged from the shelter of her home in the middle-class district of the Eijango Empire. This little village was peaceful, almost untouched by the turmoil that ensued in the Kamigawa Wars and none of the ridiculous rubbish that occurred on the upper-class was also present. It had a contented, almost surreal quality of life typical to small, insignificant villages and Tachiko Gozen reveled in it. A crowd of children were playing under the foliage of the late-blooming Sakura trees, weaving in and out, constantly running and shouting. They waved at her, a famous warrior from the Emperor's palace, and kept on with their activity, a mock war composed of bamboo sticks and pieces of brightly-colored cloth courtesy of Tachi-chan. She smiled in return as she buckled her weapons in place and mounted a white horse that a servant had just recently brought out from the stables. She was riding out to Reito under the Emperor's orders that she survey the work done by General Takeno and his army. Further questions were forbidden, only that she asses their actions and report back immediately.

"Looks like I'm going to out for a long time, father," she addressed the tall man in dark robes who had also just emerged from their house. Even at his old age, he was still a formidable man and kept on training young boys in his dojo. He simply nodded back and turned his eyes towards the playing children, a look of indulgent delight on his face. He approached them and began to teach the several basic movements of kendo with a stick borrowed from one of the younger children. The children howled with excitement and Takezo Gozen laughed along side them.

That was the last scene that Tachiko saw before she kicked her horse into motion and sped towards the nightmare that was Reito.
