Dear Diary.... and together we go down the rabbit hole.

She stared at him, eyes full of adoration. God, the back of his head was beautiful. A sigh escaped her lips as the teacher spoke, scribbling symbols on the blackboard. "Violet! How do you say this?" The teacher snapped her out of her daze, and a blush instantly tinted her fair-skinned cheeks. She was sure she had that 'deer-caught-in-headlights' look. "Uhh..." She stammered, and he looked back at her along with the rest of the class. He whispered it to her, but not in time. "That's what I thought. Maybe you should be paying attention rather than daydreaming." The teacher gave me a hard stare. "Maybe you should bite me.." Violet whispered under her breath when the teacher turned around. She swore she heard him chuckle. In your dreams... Violet said to herself in her head. ...in your daydreams. She corrected herself. No, her subconscious would never let her be with him. The dream always ended up in disaster. It wasn't any better than real life. It was worse. She would stick to drawing stupid hearts all over her notebook, and she would get over him eventually.

Twenty Years Later At The School Reunion
Violet got married, had one boy named Hunter, and then got divorced. She was granted full custody.

She smoothed out her little black dress, taking a deep breath as she walked in the room full of old high school buddies and bitches. She doubted much had changed. The quarterback football player was probably fat, bald, and a drunk. If he has a kid he probably pushes the football life on him. The daddy's girl prom queen was probably as beautiful as ever -thanks to botox- and has a little girl following right in her footsteps. Immediately, Violet made her way to the punch table. She took a sip, realizing it was spiked. Just like old times! She laughed to herself, thinking of senior prom. "Violet, is that you?" The voice was familiar, and when she turned on her heel she found the voice belonged to the guy she had had a crush on the majority of her high school years. It was ironic how he still made her heart skip beats in her chest, and he was as handsome as ever. "Yes, who else?" She smiled and they embraced quickly. He qualified as the high school pretty boy. Pretty boy's never lost their natural good looks, nor did they ever lose their charm. Violet, don't be ridiculous. You're thirty-eight years old, this isn't high school anymore. She reminded.
They got to talking, discussing what they had made of their lives. He was a doctor, married to another doctor -she sadly couldn't make it to the reunion, she was on call- and they didn't have any children. No time for children with their professions. All in all, he was doing well for himself, and so was she. "You know, I had the biggest crush on you in high school." He said and her heart nearly stopped. "Why didn't you tell me?" Violet questioned anxiously. "You know, I don't remember." He kept his smile composed. "Would you excuse me a moment, I promised my son I'd call him." Violet said politely, and she bolted home.

That would just ******** suck if that actually happened. 0_o"
It's a moral short story, I suppose.
